If I remember correctly at the time it was a rumor.

There were also reports at the time he was asking for a specific white coach / can't remember the name right now. Which completely contradicted the rumor you're relying on.

There was another rumor about your rumor that CP said this in the context of the racist culture in that clippers organization. That it was his way of fighting it and taking it as a stand-alone statement is taking it completely out of context from what the actual conversation was.

None of this has any proof even though the media tried to get it. Do you think they would sit on their hands if they actually had anything more than a rumor to work with? The fact this rumor was written about at all shows they tried...

If my wife was cheating on me with a black dude I would probably say something racist out of anger in the heat of the moment, but it doesn't make me a racist in the grand scheme of things.

The whole situation is unfortunate, but I find everything surrounding this whole ordeal is just ridiculous. The Clippers and Heat throwing down their warmups making a big show about it. Mark Jackson trying to troll the Clippers and their fans to their advantage.

I really hope Silver doesn't do anything irrational and make an extreme reprimand that will handcuff NBA owners in the future. Like Mark Cuban said this is a slippery slope to go down and I hope he treads lightly. This could potentially compromise the integrity of the league more so than Sterling making statements out of anger about his slutty wife and the pictures she takes with other black dudes that she probably sleeps with (Not talking about Magic Johnson).

Does not explain why he was up for the award but does mention some of his regular charitable contributions. He actually put in 330k of his own money to start the foundation.

Still, the NAACP should be ashamed of providing cover for a guy like this by putting an award like that on his resume.

Not his wife brother, just some eye candy to be seen with. He even told her he did not care who she slept with just to be discrete so it did not come back to embarrass him with his buddies. He does have a wife, who is about his age by the pics, but they are basically living separate lives.

He was paying for this young girl's time and at least wanted the appearance of exclusivity. As he said there were many more girls who would live by his rules.

Sterling has said many things on the record that were not motivated by anger at all. Its just what he believes.
