Wow. Let me first ask you this. When has a black person ever said that white people should never be seen in public with their girlfriends.

From my personal experience as a white guy who has dated girls from several different cultures (including east Asian, south Asian, Latino and Black) I received the most hostility from black guys for being with "their" women.

The Clippers franchise just becomes no more and we move forward with 29 teams? I didn't even think that was possible. As you have noted, being honest about how you would feel in a hypothetical situation doesn't mean Sterling should receive any slack. He deserves every ounce of scorn and derision he is getting. It's how we accomplish things and affect change. If no one said anything, or there was a muted reaction, and Sterling isn't ostracized and marginalized, some people out there would take that as a tacit acceptance of his comments and actions..

Some posters have bemoaned the fact that no one said much of anything when Sterling's prior racist acts and statements were revealed. If you think the reaction is too loud now, or people are really being hypocrites, that should in no way affect the reaction to Sterling.

People have to address their own internal biases and prejudices. Reacting strongly when stuff like this happens is one way to get people to do that. The more we come down on behavior like this the better, and the faster things will change.

IMO Silver and the court of public opinion should not be able to strip Sterling of ownership. They should be able to ban him from the team and the stadium etc. but we are talking about a $750 MIL organization that he owns and should be allowed to sell rather than just be stripped of it. If that is what that means.


PS That girl is a ho, and the taping was underhanded and vile but it opened pandoras box and there is no closing it now. Sterling is effed and for that I say finally, but the tramp doesn't deserve anything good for the type of person she is either.
