Post#1 » by fatlever » Tue Apr 29, 2014 3:36 pm

What are you favorite Bobcats memories? Videos? Memes? Players? Ladycats?

Who should make the All-Time Bobcats 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams?

My favorite memory was when I wont an autographed t-shirt signed by Adam Morrison, Walter Herrmann and Ryan Hollins during the fan fest prior to the 2006 season.

My favorite Bobcats player ever was Walter Herrmann.

Here is my All-Time Bobcats team (longevity with the team a factor)

1st Team
Kemba Walker
Raymond Felton
Gerald Wallace
Boris Diaw
Emeka Okafor

2nd Team
DJ Augustin
Gerald Henderson
Stephen Jackson
Jason Richardson
Al Jefferson

3rd Team
Brevin Knight
Matt Carroll
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Josh McRoberts
Primoz Brezec

Favorite Ladycats - Jordan, Lindsey and Cara

My favorite moment was starting off the 2012-13 season 1-0 following the 7-59 season in 2011-12

I was jubilant about them getting that monkey off their back right off the back

My all-time bobcats teams (based on skill/desire/my favorite)

1st team
PG: Kemba
SG: JRich
SF: Crash
PF: Al Jefferson
C: Mek

2nd
PG: Felton I guess
SG: SJax
SF: MKG
PF: McBob
C: Tyson Chandler

3rd
PG: Shaun Livingston
SG: Matt Carroll
SF: Jason Kapono
PF: Melvin Ely
C: Primoz

Least favorite team: Cory Higgins, Lonny Baxter, Ben Gordon and Boris Diaw (just didn't care, basically took a collective dump on Charlotte), and Alexis Ajinca (made me quit following the bobcats for like a couple of months when he was drafted)

All "favorites because of stupid reasons" Team: Tamar Slay (best name in franchise history), Walter Hermann (best hair), Sean May (fodder for endless donut jokes), Cartier Martin (best bling name), Earl Boykins (always have a soft spot for the small guys... loved Muggsy because of that)
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

if i was building a playoff team using all the bobcats that have ever played (using their best seasons) i would go with this team below

pg: kemba (13/14) | knight (04/05) | augustin (10/11)
sg: richardson (07/08) | bell (08/09) | carroll (05/06)
sf: wallace (09/10) | jackson (09/10) | mkg (12/13)
pf: diaw (08/09) | mcroberts (13/14) | herrmann (06/07)
c: jefferson (13/14) | okafor (06/07) | brown (10/11)

the all hate team
pg: mcinnis | higgins
sg: rush | gordon
sf: moon
pf: tyrus
c: may

the all disappointment team
pg: felton
sg: rush
sf: morrison | radmanovic
pf: may | tyrus
c: chandler | diop

I'd use 2013-14 Bismack over 10/11 Kwame, and 2012-13 Henderson over Bell or Carroll, but other than that, very nice list.

I'd add Ben Gordon to the All-Hate team, and would remove Chandler, who I was fan actually a big fan of, just not while he played for us. Tyrus makes the All-Hate team and the all-disappointment team, because I hated him for being a disappointment

My favorite Bobcats of all time:

Gerald Wallace
Kemba (will easily overtake Gerald in the hornets era)
Biyombo
Al
MKG
Herrmann
Stephen Jackson

CDR and McBob would probably make the list at some point too

Oh, man too many memories!

-The first year in the old coliseum was memorable for me because it was the first time I was able to get season tickets on my own.

-The first game at home after we signed Matt Carroll late in that same season. It was against the Lakers and he comes in and was going tit for tat with Kobe Bean himself. Nobody could remember his name, so that night, he was "New guy". That ended up as a running joke with us the rest of the season.

-First home win against the Celtics and opening the Bobcats Arena. Beautiful!

-Knight vs Felton! W_HAMILTON I'm looking at you!!

-I think me and Slam got in an argument over Chris Mihm and Melvin Ely over on that other site. SMH!!
:banghead:

-Pretty much anytime Gerald grabbed a rebound and went coast to coast!

-Gerald's 2 blocks and drawing a charge in one possession against the Bulls.

-31 home victories in 2010. We may have sucked on the road, but we gave everyone hell at home.

-First playoff game back in Charlotte, of course we got swept but the crowd was on point.

-Matt Carrolls kids dropping their bottles on my back all season long, his wife is super hot btw(lucky man) and meeting Diaw's brother/friends.

-Drafting Kemba! I wasn't really for it but I loved watching his emotion on draft night and it's even more meaningful to me now since he hasn't turn out to be the chucker people thought he would.

-I was very lucky to get the autographed Biz's jersey and shoe at the end of last year. Other than he, MKG and Kemba I probably wouldn't have cared much about anyone else.

-Signing Big Al! For 9 years, 9 LONG, LONG YEARS, we had never had anyone who could score on the block. For 9 YEARS!! For him to do what he did this season, it was a gods send.

1st Team
Kemba Walker
Stephen Jackson
Gerald Wallace
Boris Diaw
Al Jefferson

2nd Team
Raymond Felton
Gerald Henderson
Jason Richardson
Josh McRoberts
Emeka Okafor

3rd Team
Brevin Knight
Raja Bell
Matt Carroll
Walter Herrmann
Biz

Honorable mentions: MKG, Primoz, Nazr, Sessions

Starting 5 Lady Cats!

Because you can't have a remembering the bobcats post without Gerald highlights!

Slam I mentioned that crash moment in mine as well. I'm pretty sure it's hidden somewhere in that crash video I posted.

That's what we're missing on this team. We're missing a guy who can explode for a mind-boggling WTF -inducing dunk at any time. I miss prime Crash. We have guys who might give us one every 20 games or so like Hendo, MKG, and McBob but I miss guys like Wallace and Richardson who used to do those weekly.

for me it's a simple one:

the Stephen Jackson trade.

I had always had a soft spot for the Bobcats and enjoyed Gerald Wallace's playing style but once Captain Jack joined Charlotte, I joined Charlotte. Had the trade never happened, I wouldn't probably be here.
