Dr. Jack was always an enjoyable listen. Sad day as the NBA loses one of its greatest minds.

Re: R.I.P. Dr. Jack Ramsay
I loved every minute of Dr Jack & Eric Reid. I tweeted at Reid today about a game I remember..particular first game of the season where Timmie scored a game winning floater after going full court to win a game @ Washington and Dr Jack said "Tim Hardaway...CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT MAN!!!"....wasn't the first time I got chills from a play call in the NBA as I knew it (MJ glory among others) but it felt better because it was OURS. Great man on all accounts.
RIP DR JACK.

Re: R.I.P. Dr. Jack Ramsay
He educated me as a young basketball fan watching the Heat games. I missed him when he left the Heat. He'll be missed, but he lived a long and fruitful life. I'll never forget they way he called games.

I wish I'd gotten LEEENNNARRRDDD as my AIM chime back in the 90s.
Pickney, Fratello, Tony F, as admirably as they performed, could never replace him
You could tell that he still had a lot of love and respect for the Heat organization and its players even deep into the current team. I love how Dwyane was his preseason pick for MVP in 2012-13. Stuck out like a sore thumb, haha

For 8 years he was the sound of my youth - LENARD, THUNDA, THE SLAMMA-JAMMA.
A true legend.
Today, Dr. Jack passed away at age 89.
I recently spoke with Dr. Jack. He and I shared stories the past few years. He spoke highly of the Heat, loved his time here, and especially loved Riley. We spoke about Lebron, the new era of the NBA, and surprisingly Bill Simmons (he couldn't stand him, thought he had agendas, and said his analysis of basketball was pretty poor - HA).
True legend, and even greater dude.
RIP friend!
Well said and it was same for me. I'm 33 now, so from the time I was about 12-19 he was the guy along with ER that I grew up with. THUNNNNNNDA!!! LENNAAAAAAAADDD!!!
RIP Dr Jack.
