Watching Mike Miller in this playoffs literally hurts me....

Post#1 » by walk with me » Sun Apr 27, 2014 4:50 am

it seriously pains me..... hurts my chest deep down.

This is the healthiest he's been in the past 4-5 years maybe, offensive clutch rebounds for memphis, clutch 3 pointers for memphis, great team defense for memphis. He would have made such a huge difference this year for us. All those games dwade has sat out and with battier seemingly vanished out of our rotation (probably just for the bobcats series)

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

hopefully we can bring him back next year for the vets minimum or a bit better as a replacement to battier since it seems he will definitely retire at the end of this season

His contract didn't make sense plus just because he's looking good in Memphis doesn't mean he would look good over here. Mike was bascially limping around over here in Miami and at times I was shocked he didn't call it quits after we won last year. I love Mike but in the Grizz system he's allowed to do much more compared to ours

When we 3 peat tho I'm sure you'll move on :D

totally agree... it's weird cause he seemed to always get hurt in practice.

Regardless I'm happy for him, hope he comes back to us next year and we can put his jersey up in the rafters.

I love that he's healthy, but it sucks that it's in another uniform. Happy that he's still letting it fly tho.

He choked hardcore by missing an easy layup and following free throws.

I love Mike Miller! He was one of my favorite Heat players while he was with the team.
While mostly being hobbled wit injuries, he played with heart and soul.

Having said that, I think James Jones is just about the same player at their respective careers (of course Miller having a way better one). Thunder was exploiting Miller's defense with Reggie Jackson so much so that Grizzlies had to yank Miller out for Lee.

We miss Miller's presence as a great guy and teammate, but not so much for his production.
Let's hope that he can do more damage against OKC, good luck MM! :)

healthy before he came to Miami.

always injured in Miami

suddenly healthy again after Miami and played all 82 games in the reg season for Memphis.

I suspect Miller's injuries had something to do with chasing Miami skirts.

I hope he comes back next year. He is a very good shooter, rebounder, and passer for his position. He's an asset.

He may have been hurt during the regular season and not on massive mins during most of the playoffs but Mike was HUGE for his mins and role in the finals for us. I think everyone knows that and as a result we'll always have a soft spot for Mike. I'd have no issues having him come back to fill a role if he wanted too but I wouldn't be holding my breath. He won 2 titles here and I'm sure he's happy with his opportunity with the Heat. He'll retire a 2 time NBA champion should he not win anymore and it's well deserved. Guy was a warrior for the Heat.

can't return till his full contract is up. He had a player option for next season so that counts... Sadly he might be done by summer 15

Damn, did not know that. I was hoping he'd find his way back to Miami this summer as well.

This.

Seriously, MM is not the only player to come through miami and go to another team have an impact. There are plenty of players to come through miami. Miss him, but business is business. Lets not act like he was Hardaway or ZO, or even Jamal Mashburn for that matter. Mashburn went to the hornets and turned into an allstar.

Just surprised a his movement compared to when he was here FH last two seasons. He looks like he's 5-6 years younger out there.

Ha, I remember quite a few threads the last couple of years about trading MIke Miller and why we overpaid him etc.
