I would at least try to get one star and don't sign melo. Take on some crappy contracts like Utah did for picks. Resign your bench.

If he has to play PG it is. I don't see him being able to adjust to play PG. If we land a PG & move Kobe to SF and Smart gets to play SG than drafting him is a good thing. His strengths are great but his flaws are just as bad as his strengths are great.

Trade for Boozer? I'd take Boozer + picks from Chicago for a TPE.

Chicago wouldn't want to amnesty him and pay him $20 mil next season, we have no business playing the free agency game either so why not take on salary for some picks?

perhaps get seldom used goods from different teams like Asik, Boozer, Darren Collison, Birdman, Varejao, Lin, Iguodala, Mcroberts, Deng, etc etc and start building quickly
or hope for dante exum and start over

I dont see to much of Smarts game but for some reason I see a Kyle Lowry in him, so might take a several years till he gets it but Smarts could be a solid player some day.
