I like Harris too.

Let me put it like this

If we drafted Parker with the top 5 . I would draft Harris . If we drafted Wiggins . I would draft James Young with the Pelicans pick.

Wiggins will be a 2 in the NBA, so taking Young with Wiggins would be very repetitive.

He will be able to play the 2 or 3 and be able to guard 3 different positions.

His biggest offensive advantage will be at the 2 against the dreck the league currently runs out there. So I would want him full time in the backcourt with MCW. And what you say is true, which means they can go to the Jordan-era Bulls defense where they could switch everything when needed due to their defensive versatility.

People are going to put their best wing defender on him whether he plays the 2 or the 3.

Fair enough. I still see him as a 2 guard. I suppose a wing is a wing is a wing nowadays.

Does it even matter . Geez isn't James Young 6'7 with a 6'11 wingspan and Wiggins 6'8 with 6'11 wingspan. Who cares who is labelled a 2 or 3 . They are both really long wings with tons of upside . Pair them on the wing is how you build a potentially dominant team.

Having a 6'11 wingspan means nothing when your a turnstile on defense.

Okay this is a just silly. Its pretty much exactly a 3 way tie.

And unless the Pellies hit lightning, 2 of the 3 should be there. Technically Saric can pull out for a while still, and someone else might fall. Feels like we need a thread dedicated to each of these 3, or at least a bunch more analysis of em.

I voted Saric, but I'd much rather get Stauskas here, missed the last vote.

Where's all the Harris love coming from? He's a tweener guard...does anyone really see him as our long term starter at the 2? Feel like he projects as a good 6th man at best...not really what I'm looking for in the top 10

lol nobody has a clue after 8. Well, I guess we cant really be mad at whoever we select at #10 because we have no idea who the best prospect is.

I'm pretty sure any teams that still need/want point guards will have Ennis right about here.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

I don't understand this particular board's fascination with James Young.

I thought Saric looked awful in the draft express scouting video. Soft power forward. Maybe I am missing something. I'll watch again.

Just watched his new video from his league championship. Very intense, active on the defensive end. Obviously can shoot and pass.

All tied up at 13. I say go with Young, at the very least he did win the original voting.

You missed his Basketball IQ , high work ethic, winning mentality , his leadership and ability to make his teammates better. I don't know if people know that , but his born and live in the same city and region where was Drazen Petrovic born, and Saric lives baskettbal in the same way like Petrovic once lived.
If Saric still be available on the 9th or 10th pick , I'm think that he will be a jackpot.

He has long arms!

I know you meant that somewhat facetiously. But having a physical advantage over your opponent is meaningful. Having a five inch wing advantage over a similar player means a lot. Wingspan is as important as height. When its height its never a question. People get that.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down
