I like Grievous Vasquez as a player but I don't love him. Too much swag when we definitely don't need it. Too much lack of attention to detail. Too many minutes. The starting unit+Hayes almost could not rescue the 20 car pile up that was the 4th quarter. I think you have to really know how to use Vasquez and tonight was a lot of more is definitely less. Folks I wouldn't let Salmons see one more minute in a Raps uni. Brutal. The only thing that saved us was Pierce was -33 to Salmon's horrendous -15. Amir was atrocious in this one as well. I hope this wakes Casey up to play Fields and and play Hans. FFS.

Nets will never get that many four point plays again. That was a joke.

The decision to bench JV was especially baffling and would have been a fireable offense if we lost.

They couldn't stop him. Period. No one on the Nets could guard him. When you're up 20+, don't you want your younger guys playing the most minutes they can? It's the playoffs! Keep your foot on the gas and beat them by 30! I don't understand that decision at all. He was your entire interior defense. He was playing very good - even defensively. And you play the matchups because they're going small? OH SHOOT, THEY'RE GOING SMALL! JV, hit the bench! Idiotic. Camp him on Blatche in that situation; he's plenty quick enough to guard him.

I've appreciated the way Casey has gotten the most out of these guys, but there are times when he makes it so much harder on the team when he doesn't have to.

Yes...we won the game. But, all I can say is that I am concerned. Even if we do make it to the second round Miami will slaughter us over the smallest errors.

No proper post game either.

You could also see how the they started airing hockey commercials right after the game ended so you know the feed was switched quite fast.

That's about the only positive, but you're right Helix. No party time after this win.

Hayes and Salmons shouldn't be on the floor when the Nets run their High press D. Plain and Simple. Hayes gave us some good minutes. But the guy has NO finishing abilities at this point. Salmons does nothing.
Prediction
Spurs in 7. Parker MVP. Lebron 6-17fg, 18pt, 8reb, 5 asst in game 7 LOSS.
The Heat will choke!

Strangely enough I think the Nets run in the 4th quarter will work to our benefit. If they mailed it in and gave up the Raptors extremely lackadaisical play could have been starting right from the get go in game 6. Instead they got their wake up call in a win rather than fresh off a new game.

I don't understand how Teletovic is open almost every half court set, of all the people to leave open on the court they don't want to guard Joe Johnson or Teletovic when then they are camping the 3 point line... crazy!

This should have been a 30 point blow-out

I have no damn idea he plays those 2 scrubs. Valanciunas sitting the entire 4th?? Does he like JV's company on the bench or what's the excuse?

Credits to Demar's free throw shooting skills.

We had so many messups in the second half but the 3's still kept us in game.

Amir Johnson had about 10 minutes of complete idiocy in terms of turnovers and fouling on 3's. TERRIBLE game.

If we lost on a JV goaltend at the end it would probably go down in infamy like 50 years from now.
