In a way this melt down is a blessing in disguise. We will be on the attack from the get go in Brooklyn.

That'll be interesting. Will Derozan get those foul calls if Lebron is guarding him? Doubtful. Lebron NEVER picks up fouls.

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Amir fouling Anderson on that 3 at the end is why we can't have nice things.

No one was in when the lead was being blown. Casey blew the lead in the fourth Quarter by having Patterson and Hayes together for some reason.

Salmons should never get to lay his sneakers on the court during a playoff game.

Patterson and AMir are to blame. They just leave him wide open like idiots.

absolutely right...Thing is patterson's help defense is pretty bad too, for a mobile big.. He has very bad defensive awareness.

20+ point lead, your only job is to defend and contest the 3s. They can't even do that properly and they proceed to foul them on the shot to top it off.

SOrry this was not one of those "we won the game period" wins. This was a "we're goddamn lucky we avoided the most embarrassing loss in team history" win. Which isn't good.

CAN PEOPLE STOP FOCUSING ON THE NEGATIVES! WE WON THE GAME. WE'RE UP 3-2! WE'VE SHOWN WE CAN DOMINATE. YES, ALL THAT MATTERS IS WE WON! JUST LIKE ALL THAT MATTERED IN GAME 2 IS WE BLEW IT AT THE END! that's it... it's 3-2... the raptors showed theyre better... theyve controlled the past 2 games and have shown why theyre better... get over it... I HOPE NONE OF THE RAPTORS HAVE YOUR MENTALITY! THEY SHOULDN'T! THEY SHOULD STAY FOCUSED, FIGURE OUT WHAT WENT WRONG BUT GO INTO BROOKLYN KNOWING THEY CAN DESTROY THEM AT WILL IF THEY FOCUS. jeez man... this attitude is embarassing.

Dude relax. this is a serious issue, not just for the Raptors but any team, case in point: Spurs were up 3-1 against the Lakers (2004), up 20+ points in game 4 only to see the Lakers come back and win by a single point, and then they lost the remainder of the series. Basketball is a game of runs and momentum, and we blew this game pretty hard, fans have a right to question the coach and team.

the key is BROOKLYN DIDN'T WIN. WE DID. IF WE HAD LOST, I WOULD'VE FELT THE SERIES MIGHT BE OVER. BUT WE DIDN'T! at the end, our guys came through in the clutch, showed the resiliency theyve shown all season and showed how bad they wanna win.... THIS IS WHY WERE A GOOD TEAM. WEVE BEEN IN THESE SITUATIONS MANY TIMES THIS SEASON... yes they ALMOST blew it, but they didn't... and they shouldnt go into brooklyn thinking "oh no, momentum swing..." they should go into brooklyn FINISHING WHAT THEY STARTED HERE... MAKING A STATEMENT... COME IN SAYING, **** IT, THIS TIME WERE KILLING YOU ALL 4 QUARTERS! and thats what theyre gonna do... BROOKLYN FEELS LIKE **** RIGHT NOW? think about it, all the pressure is ON THEM... they ALMOST came back and guess what, THEY BLEW IT! they worked so hard to come back from such a big lead, even tied it at one point but THEY CHOKED. **** THEM! they're the ones who feel like **** right now... **** BROOKLYN! RAPS IN 6!!!!!

Teams take after their leaders. Thats what happens when you have RuPaul leading your team. I'm glad we got guys like Lowry and DeRozan now.

Teams that are up 22 going into the 4th probably win 99% of the time. You think any of these stats apply to the Raptors?

We won though...... a win by 1 or a win by 26 in a win. I don't know why everyone was so surprised, this was our m-o all season, I actually stopped being nervous the moment the game got tied.

The stat doesn't mean **** though, even if it's 100% it doesn't mean ****, we gotta come out and bury them in game 6.

48 F'ing minutes guys! This is the playoff and you are playing a Vet savy team!

J Kid put out a few guys with hot hands to take a shot at stealing one while resting KG and PP for game 6 and beyond.

Almost worked. K low had an Awesome game!
Ross did OKfor the first time. Not good but OK. This is a good sign in case there is a game 7.
Maybe go back to fields as Salmons sucked on Off and D on JJ not as good as LF.

83%
83%
83%

I hope he's 100% right.

What stats are if the winning coach is Casey :uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh:

I'm sure the percentage of teams with a +20 point lead going into the fourth have usually gone on to win the game too but we almost defied that tonight.

Not plural, not we - "HE".

This time though it was like they were so careless on the offensive side. Quick shots. TOs leading to like 6-8 PTs. I think we had 3 and 1s + 3 fouls on 3pointers? JJ was playing like man possessed. They were also hitting 3s with Anderson / Mirza.

We kept JJ in check. I think if they play Plumlee and/or Livingston, our strategy was perfect. Double off that guy and recover. We did that beatuifily in the first 3 quarters. Kidd to his credit brought in Mirza/Anderson/Blatche, and did good job of spacing. It will be interesting to see what lineup Kidd goes with in the 6th game.

Put in Pierce for Anderson and that would be scary. Kidd would be wise to start Teletovic in place of Garnett.

This cannot go unoticed for tomorrow. I expect long teaching lessions tomorrow. Anything short of serious **** going on in the film session and practice tomorrow should not be tolerated.

Still trying to calm myself down from this BS I just witnessed. I give 50% credit to Joe Johnson, but that other 50% of the collapse is on the Raptors.

Return to Toronto Raptors
