83%
83%
83%

I hope he's 100% right.

That means the team that wins game 5 loses 17% of the time... that's Russian Roulette odds right there. Would you put one bullet in a revolver and play Russian Roulette?

Demolishing BKN should have been a strategic priority for this team. Would have given us a big psychological advantage.

Yes he was, but you know Casey, he loves his John Salmons and Chuck Hayes. United brothers of his.

It would not be overconfidence I would be worried about at this point, but no confidence. I honestly feel the nets now have the momentum going into the next game regardless of loosing this game. This game will seep into the raps thinking and destroy the confidence for the coming games. That is just my opinion, I am not trying to be negative just realistic, but this was the worst win I have ever seen the raps . I just don't think they are experienced enough to leave this game at the door of the ACC and not take it to the Barclays centre. I think this might be the first time anyone can say a win has lost you the series.

I think that set him off.

Not like point guards are expected to rebound but it's weird seeing Kyle Lowry finish with 0 of them. We usually see him end the game with 4 at the very least.

Wow, what a crazy game.

The positives
- Lowry in God-mode. That was just an incredible performance.
- DeRozan played very well and aggressive all game when we needed points, getting to the line. Yes, he had a hard time stopping Johnson, but I think that's more a team recognition problem than his fault. He can't guard him one-on-one. That happens in certain match ups, the Raps either needed to switch the assignments, or start bringing doubles from different places.
- Val's offensive game is getting better and better all the time. I love that little turn-to-the-off-shoulder jump shot he hit twice from the left block.
- Vasquez can basically go around the whole arena doing the Sam Cassell dance if we pull out this series. The guy has no fear.

The negatives
- That was one of the worst games I've even seen 2Pat play. It didn't look like he knew what he was doing on offence or defence for most of the time he was one the floor. Not sure what happened to that guy tonight.
- When Johnson was killing us in the 3rd, yet we still had a 20 point lead, Casey needed to do at least one of the 3 following things: 1) try Fields on him instead of Salmons, 2) bring a bunch of double-teams from different places, 3) keep running iso plays for DeRozan against him to draw more fouls.
- Why the hell did Val only play 25 minutes?
- Amir's injury must really be affecting his mobility. I just can't imagine a healthy Amir closing out as recklessly on guys like that without even seeming to attempt to get out of the way. He just must not be able to.

Salmons has been the only guy keeping JJ in check. Are you morons even watching the games? Jesus christ, it was JJ behind this meltdown and nobody there to guard him. As soon as Salmons came out JJ stopped scoring.

You quoted my post but it was in regards on offence. No matter what he does on D... Salmons is awful on offence right now.

Salmons is a net negative. I don't see how you can actually debate this.
Prediction
Spurs in 7. Parker MVP. Lebron 6-17fg, 18pt, 8reb, 5 asst in game 7 LOSS.
The Heat will choke!

IMPRESSIVE

Yeah I think you're forgetting some stuff in between that and our 25 point lead. We looked entirely ball-less for most of that quarter.

I thought they totally turned off their intensity particularly Amir and Vas, thinking the game was done then you add JJ being on-fire...bad mix! but we still survived it!!

I'm just tired of Amir Johnson. He's been playing terribly all series long, and now it seems he's turned off his brain. Why would you foul Anderson? You would think he'd have learned from the previous 4 pt play. I'm confused because in the replay it shoes Johnson running full steam at Anderson, with clear contact. Is he getting paid to throw the game?

This offseason a starting small forward and backup C is priority .... We need size at the 3 and we need size up front ...

Probably some rich kid who coaxed a good looking girl to go to the game with him because he had two tickets. The girl saw it as a friendly outing while he saw it as a date and so she didn't reciprocate.

Still trying to calm myself down from this BS I just witnessed. I give 50% credit to Joe Johnson, but that other 50% of the collapse is on the Raptors.

I agree. I hope the players sit Casey down to watch the tape and show him what he did wrong as the coach.

CAN PEOPLE STOP FOCUSING ON THE NEGATIVES! WE WON THE GAME. WE'RE UP 3-2! WE'VE SHOWN WE CAN DOMINATE. YES, ALL THAT MATTERS IS WE WON! JUST LIKE ALL THAT MATTERED IN GAME 2 IS WE BLEW IT AT THE END! that's it... it's 3-2... the raptors showed theyre better... theyve controlled the past 2 games and have shown why theyre better... get over it... I HOPE NONE OF THE RAPTORS HAVE YOUR MENTALITY! THEY SHOULDN'T! THEY SHOULD STAY FOCUSED, FIGURE OUT WHAT WENT WRONG BUT GO INTO BROOKLYN KNOWING THEY CAN DESTROY THEM AT WILL IF THEY FOCUS. jeez man... this attitude is embarassing.

Dude relax. this is a serious issue, not just for the Raptors but any team, case in point: Spurs were up 3-1 against the Lakers (2004), up 20+ points in game 4 only to see the Lakers come back and win by a single point, and then they lost the remainder of the series. Basketball is a game of runs and momentum, and we blew this game pretty hard, fans have a right to question the coach and team.

the key is BROOKLYN DIDN'T WIN. WE DID. IF WE HAD LOST, I WOULD'VE FELT THE SERIES MIGHT BE OVER. BUT WE DIDN'T! at the end, our guys came through in the clutch, showed the resiliency theyve shown all season and showed how bad they wanna win.... THIS IS WHY WERE A GOOD TEAM. WEVE BEEN IN THESE SITUATIONS MANY TIMES THIS SEASON... yes they ALMOST blew it, but they didn't... and they shouldnt go into brooklyn thinking "oh no, momentum swing..." they should go into brooklyn FINISHING WHAT THEY STARTED HERE... MAKING A STATEMENT... COME IN SAYING, **** IT, THIS TIME WERE KILLING YOU ALL 4 QUARTERS! and thats what theyre gonna do... BROOKLYN FEELS LIKE **** RIGHT NOW? think about it, all the pressure is ON THEM... they ALMOST came back and guess what, THEY BLEW IT! they worked so hard to come back from such a big lead, even tied it at one point but THEY CHOKED. **** THEM! they're the ones who feel like **** right now... **** BROOKLYN! RAPS IN 6!!!!!

I admire your passion, and seriously hope we ride this thing all the way, but there are BIG reasons for concerns, Brooklyn is a team filled with veterans and the more they learn to make these 20+ pt come backs, the more difficult it becomes to close out the series because it means they are figuring out our team with each play. With that said, I seriously hope this was a one time thing, Casey shouldn't be a lock to come back next year, he`s got serious issues, but I support his overall body of work at the end of the day.
