I guess Casey was saving Fields for Friday. I'm sure entering the 4th he didnt' think he'd need him, esp with JJ having 5 fouls.

learning material. that 4q is a chapter of defense mistakes vs a pro playoff team - required course for any NBA champ.

We've been playing behind going into the 4th so much, that we literally looked lost when we were playing up.

Dude relax. this is a serious issue, not just for the Raptors but any team, case in point: Spurs were up 3-1 against the Lakers (2004), up 20+ points in game 4 only to see the Lakers come back and win by a single point, and then they lost the remainder of the series. Basketball is a game of runs and momentum, and we blew this game pretty hard, fans have a right to question the coach and team.

the key is BROOKLYN DIDN'T WIN. WE DID. IF WE HAD LOST, I WOULD'VE FELT THE SERIES MIGHT BE OVER. BUT WE DIDN'T! at the end, our guys came through in the clutch, showed the resiliency theyve shown all season and showed how bad they wanna win.... THIS IS WHY WERE A GOOD TEAM. WEVE BEEN IN THESE SITUATIONS MANY TIMES THIS SEASON... yes they ALMOST blew it, but they didn't... and they shouldnt go into brooklyn thinking "oh no, momentum swing..." they should go into brooklyn FINISHING WHAT THEY STARTED HERE... MAKING A STATEMENT... COME IN SAYING, **** IT, THIS TIME WERE KILLING YOU ALL 4 QUARTERS! and thats what theyre gonna do... BROOKLYN FEELS LIKE **** RIGHT NOW? think about it, all the pressure is ON THEM... they ALMOST came back and guess what, THEY BLEW IT! they worked so hard to come back from such a big lead, even tied it at one point but THEY CHOKED. **** THEM! they're the ones who feel like **** right now... **** BROOKLYN! RAPS IN 6!!!!!

I admire your passion, and seriously hope we ride this thing all the way, but there are BIG reasons for concerns, Brooklyn is a team filled with veterans and the more they learn to make these 20+ pt come backs, the more difficult it becomes to close out the series because it means they are figuring out our team with each play. With that said, I seriously hope this was a one time thing, Casey shouldn't be a lock to come back next year, he`s got serious issues, but I support his overall body of work at the end of the day.

But most of their veterans were on the bench in the 4th.

This. I was wondering where he was as well.

Oh he was available to play.....I think Casey's probably jealous that Fields scored a hottter chick than he did....Thats the only theory that makes sense....

You would think he'd have learned from the previous 4 pt play. I'm confused because in the replay it shoes Johnson running full steam at Anderson, with clear contact. Is he getting paid to throw the game?

Yeah he has been trash all series especially on defense. Almost reminds me of Bargnani with the way he rotates so slowly or misses rotations completely.

The brightest spot in this game is the breakout of lowry, vc style. I feel he will carry us to the 2nd round friday night.

All I know is, that we'll all need pace-makers if they keep this up.

Please don't. If was in that dressing room I'd let him have it. He's a one way player.

We know this team is a fighter. If they were young but not a fighter I would be plenty worried. Casey will make sure to keep them even keeled which is important for the next game in terms of their confidence.

Salmons has been the only guy keeping JJ in check. Are you morons even watching the games? Jesus christ, it was JJ behind this meltdown and nobody there to guard him. As soon as Salmons came out JJ stopped scoring.

You quoted my post but it was in regards on offence. No matter what he does on D... Salmons is awful on offence right now.

Salmons is a net negative. I don't see how you can actually debate this.

I don't give **** about his offence... we need his D and Fields D on JJ.. Let Demar concentrate on offence 100% ... Look how Kidd is playing JJ, he plays Livingston, Anderson and AK47 on Demar and JJ guards easier assignment so he is fresh on offence ... Demar is not Lebron or Kobe the only two players who can go hard at both ends of the court ...

Ok I'm done for tonight. I don't want to talk about that game or see any highlights. Gonna focus on game 6 only from here on out.

When we were up 24 my friend declared that the Raptors won. I told him that with the Raptors, no lead is safe. Thank God we hung on. I almost died when Joe Johnson hit that 3 to tie.

You are wrong. The Raptors have given up many great leads and always play complacent when they are up. This game is no exception, they will play the same they always play next game, too. In fact, Brooklyn may come out firing on all cylinders.

You underestimate Anderson defense. The guy is pretty good perimeter defense. PP at this stage can not cover any perimeter players. The success of the Nets has being when they put at the 4.

They came back with Deron/JJ/Anderson/Merze/Blatche lineup. Non experts will say experience of Nets was key, Deron/JJ are known for their flops in playoffs + the rest of that lineup has barely any playoff PT.

I'm hoping Anderson/Merze blew all their load 2nite and have nothing left on Friday.

Listen you bloody moron, and every single idiot who thinks the same way because of the OKC game-- Salmons on offense is not a problem as long as he can keep the biggest offensive threat they have in check. Demar, our best offensive player sucked so bad on D against JJ that we let a 26 point lead disappear. This is how important shutting down the opponents best player is. "oh but he missed a few shots" **** off with that nonsense and open your damn eyes.
