He can create for himself; it doesn't strictly need to be in the post. Not only that but Mirza should be getting a lot more minutes. He's one of the best shooters in the league, even if he's not shooting the ball well, the opposing teams will think twice about leaving him open to double Joe.

:o Didn't we have an argument about this during the season? Hmmmm??!? JJ is only a scorer?!!?!? Dwill can score and play point guard?!?!!?

Yeah, we're really not in a position to think about the Heat...we're facing elimination against, quite frankly, a better team. The main reason we're even alive right now is because Joe Johnson has played like a superstar.

I've been a pretty optimistic Nets fan for the most part, but I'm pretty much resigning myself to a loss in this series. If we make the comeback, great, but I'm not expecting it to happen. And I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we get blown out in the elimination game. That's just what this team does.

But a 2nd straight year of being 1 and done...we basically gave away 3 first rounders and a pick swap in 2017 just so we could be a worse team than last year. Wow.

Ended up watching the last 3 minutes of the game, and even though we ended up losing in an infuriating way, I'm not sure what to make of this. Should I be happy that we made a big comeback but fell short? Is there a morale victory in here? And what the hell exactly happened that we made it a close game in the 4th?

Nope. No moral victories in the playoffs. The only lesson to be learned is to actually try for four quarters and you would think a professional basketball team would know that by now.

How are you thinking about Miami when the Nets have lost two straight games?

The comeback slightly pissed me off because Deron looked more aware and played like he knew what he was doing, compared to the other 3 quarters

I see some resemblance of what happened at the end of Game 3, they saw what worked for them and now we see what works for us. This comeback honestly has me still thinking positive about this series. It's not over until the first team hits 4.

Very disappointed by Pierce tonight. -31, 5 turnovers in 24 minutes.

We need to play through Johnson at all times and surround him with shooters. He'll take the defender everytime if the double doesn't come. When/if the double comes you have 3 point shooters wide open. That's what was the catalyst of that 4th quarter run.

We sucked in the last game in the 4th quarter, we lose because we couldn't score.

We suck for the entire 2nd/3rd quarters but score 43 points and have the best quarter in the series.

It's comical how inconsistent this team is besides JJ.

deron williams has the least heart of any player i can remeber who wasnt outright tanking/dogging it on purpose.

he isnt gonna show up, just like he didnt show up tonite.

no show in game 4, follow it up with another now show and getting beasted by lowry.

i got called and idiot for saying we wouldnt show up and that the raps would beat us in 6 games and that lowry would own dwill. i guess maybe im not such an idiot.

this teams still has the same issue. no heart and horrible coaching

I expect us to win game 6 at home now. I think the team will give a big effort simply out of pride and because they're playing at home. Obviously, this is just my prediction, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Nets lose. But I think the team probably gained some confidence tonight, just like the Raptors did in game 3.

If we do win game 6, game 7 will be crazy. Raptors would be heavy favorites IMO, but I think we're still alive right now.

This team just suffered two back to back losses, one at home, and one on the road

give it up. Season's over.

What has this team done all season long that screams of pride?

We came back tonight because one man on this team had pride.

That's not enough

Meh, he really didn't. The Raptors just played relaxed D and allowed him to get into the paint. He still wasn't that good, the defense just softened up.

You put pressure on D-Will, and he folds up like a lawn chair. He doesn't know what to do, he gets scared, and he tries to get rid of the ball as quickly as possible so that he doesn't have to do anything.

Was I the only one who was eerily reminded of Game 3? One team has the big lead and blows it. The other team has a glorious chance but blows it and the comeback falls short.
