I'm not usually particularly positive, but I actually feel fine about this.

A blowout win would have just bred complacency.

Dumbest play of the night was throwing the ball in the back court when BKN had no time outs left and 1 second on the clock. And that's saying a lot seeing how many dumb plays there were tonight.

LAWL if the Raptors lost because of YOnas goaltend.

That would have been so epic.

Are you not aware the whistle went and it was a back court violation?

when did the goal tend happen?

When D-Will shot from backcourt. Technically the blame was stopped b/c it was in the backourt, but he got the shot off in time and it was 3 pointer too. It was clear goal tend by JV. When Blatche threw the ball in the backcourt, there was Raptors player right there. If he had deflected it, that would have being goaltending and 3 points and the win for Nets.

They blew the whistle tho..

Nets made an insane run and still couldn't get it done. This win breaks their backs.

Na I think ppl just love being negative.

Piston fan here, like always I come and show respect when it's due. Good ass win! Lowry played like true Velociraptor on Jurassic Park tonight. Good luck finishing this series off on Friday.

Coming back from a 26 pt deficit within a span of 9 minutes to play is the definition of learning your opponent's game. The arguments that people are making is that this is a serious concern, not that the Nets are a better team, why is that so hard to grasp? We are up 3-2, not 3-0 or 3-1, a loss in BKN and this becomes a 50-50 game.

lol, i'm sorry, but the basis for your argument is just so absurd... so it's taken till game 5, of a game where they were absolutely dominated for 3 quarters to "figure out the raptors..." up until this game, the whole series has been tight... every play, every possession has been tight... the nets know how to play the raps.... jsut like the raps know how to play the nets... difference is, raps have more weapons and raptors are better... thats why they won and the nets didn't... i find it so ridiculous that after winning such a pivotal game and now being up 3-2, with home court advantage, i'm having debates with fans about WHY THEY MIGHT LOSE THE NEXT GAME... **** THAT! HAVE SOME PERSPECTIVE! we're in the driver's seat now... history is in our favour... we're a better team. stop **** feeling sorry for yourselves and for the team... WE'RE UP... WE'RE GOING FOR THE CLINCH IN BROOKLYN! **** BROOKLYN! RAPS IN 6!!!!!!!

I give up, you just don't get it..this isn't about who I think is the better team, but why the huge 26 pt melt down is a concern moving forward, if you can't see that then we can talk another day, after the emotions have worn off.

no i'm saying, it SHOULDN'T BE A CONCERN MOVING FORWARD, because it CONCEDES DEFEAT and is a terrible mentality to have after you just WON THE GAME! i get what you're saying, and in all honesty, i think it's absolute bull! this is not the mentality you need to have after this game... you as the raptors, need to stay positive and say look, we're up 3-2... we know we're better... now we just need to focus and make sure THE NEXT GAME WHEN WE START TO BLOW THEM OUT, WE NEVER GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO GET BACK UP! this is playoffs... there are NO MORAL VICTORIES... what matters is we won, we're up 3-2 and we KNOW WE'RE GONNA WIN IN BROOKLYN! it's such a terrible mentality to make excuses after you win... that's not to say you don't wanna fix your mistakes, but to feel sorry for yourselves and to ALLOW the momentum to shift AFTER YOU JUST WON, is just utter and complete bull. if they HAD LOST, i would agree with you, BUT THEY DIDN'T! THEY WON! AND THATS WHAT SHOULD STICK WITH YOU AS A TEAM... why in the world would you wanna start feeling sorry four yourself now that youre finally in control of the seriess???

industry_killer wrote:It would not be overconfidence I would be worried about at this point, but no confidence. I honestly feel the nets now have the momentum going into the next game regardless of loosing this game. This game will seep into the raps thinking and destroy the confidence for the coming games. That is just my opinion, I am not trying to be negative just realistic, but this was the worst win I have ever seen the raps . I just don't think they are experienced enough to leave this game at the door of the ACC and not take it to the Barclays centre. I think this might be the first time anyone can say a win has lost you the series.

idk if they have momentum 'cause they tied the gaem but we won it by scoring afterwards and getting stops.
we would've had momentum if we'd stomped on them but as of now no one has momentum; its anyone's game right now

On the other note, anyone knows what Teletovic's contract situation is? I swear he is one of the few nets who has been consistent during the playoffs. Reminds me of Garbo. Huge steal by the Nets.

I agree. But it was very risky.

I'm not sure what the outcome would have being though if it was determined a Raptors tipped it. They did review. Maybe the review was about time instead of determining if Raptor player tipped it or not.

I think a lot of people are just venting, not hating. Watching that lead get chipped away and the team not finding direction is just emotionally crushing.

Players learn alot during the playoffs man. Demar acknowledged that his pumpfakes are not that effective in some cases and he actually starts doing the follow through on his free throws now.

we shouldn't be proud??? SO WE SHOULD ALL JUST GIVE UP AND CONCEDE THE SERIES TO THE NETS??? this is so **** ridiculous man... do you guys WANNA WIN! winners win... it doesn't matter if it's almost, if it's ugly, if they were hurt... THE RAPTORS WON! THEYRE BETTER THAN THE NETS! THEYVE SHOWED WHY! and they need to come out again IN THE NEXT GAME AND GIVE THE FINAL KNOCKOUT PUNCH... my god man... WE'RE UP 3-2! WE'RE NOT DOWN! WE'VE BEEN IN EVERY SINGLE GAME! WE'VE DOMINATED FOR PORTIONS OF GAMES! THE NETS HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO DOMINATE US! WAKE UP! we're better period... it took a HUGE RUN FOR THE NETS TO GET BACK IN and still LOSE. this attitude that "OMG, NETS OMG SO EMBARASSING THEY ALMOST CAME BACK, OMG FEEL SORRY FOR MYSELF WERE RATTLED" is so pathetic and if you're honestly gonna use that as an excuse for the raptors players, then THEY WOULD BE PATHETIC if they felt that way... but the fact that they PULLED THIS ONE OUT and WON the game, and MADE CLUTCH PLAYS AT THE END, shows they don't... they're more resilient than that...

Boogie used to use green font all the time back in the days.

We shouldnt be proud to be up 3-2 in this series and one win away from the second round? Thats such a negative point of view, glass half empty. If you thought the Nets wouldnt make a comeback then youre stupid, every team has been making crazy comebacks in the playoffs. Its not just us. The main thing is we are one win away. In the playoffs, the goal is to get 4 wins, doesnt matter how you get it. Get 4 wins and move on to the next one, and after tonight we are 1 win away from it while the nets are still 2 wins away.

thank you... some perspective... this is so freaking ridiculous... we ARE NOW UP 3-2! WE HAVE NEVER LEAD A SERIES SINCE 2001!!!! WAKE UP! WE'RE IN THE DRIVERS SEAT AND SHOWED WHY WERE A BETTER TEAM THAN BROOKLYN!!!! funny how people give so much credit to brooklyn, funny how a bunch of fans even expected brooklyn to win this series, and then theyre so surprised that brooklyn made a run to get back in the game... people give so much credit to brooklyn, then they just expect them to fold and give up and stop playing... NO, THEY MADE THEIR RUN... AND WE STOPPED IT. WE DIDNT GET IT GET TO US. WE WON! was it a pretty win? NO! but it's the PLAYOFFS, TEAMS MAKE RUNS... but we didnt fold because we have players that are resilient and wanna win... and we did... RAPS IN 6! **** BROOKLYN!

We should have won by 30 but the bench let up and Casey left them out there for way too long. The bleeding should have stopped after they came within 15 but Casey had to roll with Grievous slacking on offence.
