The Nets were always going to make a big run, but those and-1 fouls and lazy turnovers were really bad. They didn't collapse, which is obviously good, and without those really dumb plays by Amir and Vasquez they would've had a 2-3 possession cushion for the rest of the game.

Still, a win's a win and they showed a lot of resolve not fully collapsing. Hopefully this will be a valuable lesson that you can't mentally check out of a playoff game.

I didn't even realize this was a thing until I read it on this board.. wasn't the back court violation obvious?

I stopped paying attention to the play as soon as the whistle was blown, didn't see what JV did. Why are people talking about a goaltend that couldn't have happened?

Im so damn envious of your team. Not because I think Brooklyn is better than you, but because my team ended up with the worst possible match up ever. Im thrilled you guys are stomping a team that intentionally tanked to see you in the playoffs, and its about damn time everyone see just how good Lowry is.

LETS GO RAPS. RAPS IN 6.

Crazy how we could have won the series already if Patman made those two free throws in the prior game. Here's hoping we take it in six, the team should prepare for the Brooklyn run early in game 6. They're gonna be playing with fire since they almost stole this one.

seriously, can people just call them out on twitter or something for their lazy reporting... because it's absolute bull that this would be the main thing they highlight during the end of this game... if it was actually debatable then i would expect it... but they're all just WRONG by all accounts, because it was an obvious backcourt violation BEFORE that shot... there's no way in hell that goaltending was a possibility... they need to be called out on their incompetence...

The lead was made on the back of our young players, yet Casey's mental biases continue to harm our team.

As per his post game interview, "the Raptors me veterans to close out game".... Did I miss something? Our young guys coming together have built this team. Casey is continually horrible at:

-inclination towards veterans
-horrible rotations
-poor late game mgmt
-poor set plays
-Demar Derozan: "We haven't did nothing"

2 theories:

1. He tried hard to land her - got her - but she doesn't really wana be with him.
2. She has low self esteem and is really shy

Either way lmao that guy is all over the internet.

3. He had an extra ticket to the game...he likes her, but she just wanted to go to the game.

What an awkward drive home. Hopefully they live close lol.

Man, tell the dude to give the ticket to me next time, I'll kiss him if that's what it takes!

They blew the whistle, though. They wouldn't count it as a shot attempt. JV knew what he was doing.

Then why did they review the play? They were trying to figure out if it had been deflected. Sure, they blew the whistle, but I think towards the end of the game, the refs can review any play they want and change the call. If they said that Demar had touched that ball as Blatche threw it back, then it would have been a legitimate shot and Jonas would have been called for goaltending. Then we would have lost.

I'm stupid happy we got the win but I'll be damned if the possibility of losing like that didn't cause my heart to skip a beat. I hope he never does anything like that again because I'm too young to suffer a heart attack.

The whistle ends the play. If the review was that they made a bad call then I think I would have been Nets ball. They can't pretend the whistle didn't go and then count stuff that happens after the whistle.

Ahh, then I believe I was led astray by whatever announcers I was listening to. *phew*

Who would have ever thought we'd have Drake and 50 Cent courtside in a 1st round game that we hope to win so we can get a chance to play the Heat in the 2nd round.

Well, I dunno if the goaltend could have happened, because the whistle was blown, but what he did was a goaltend.

If Blatche's pass was touched by a Raptor, DWill's hail mary would have been a good shot, as it was let go before the buzzer...and JV goaltended it.

Now, goaltend or not... He should not have tried to block it as it -almost- never goes in. Just don't test your luck... He wanted to Garnett the ball. Whatever.

He had two major offensive goaltends this season, I dunno what's with him. lol.

I upgraded my tv package to include NBATV or whatever its called tonight to watch you guys' game. Im rather poor so that extra 9.99 a month is a big deal. I know you guys have been on the short hand of the Drummond vs Val debate, but its about time you guys start bringing it back up. Drummond is a somewhat bad defender, Val is a good defender. Drummond rebounds like hell, Val, eh, hes ok.

One is playing and contributing like hell in the playoffs and one plays for one of the worst teams in the league. One is offensively skilled and one is not. I would honestly rather have Val over Drummond on the Bobcats right now.

You guys need to get your sh*t together in the 4th though. What in the flying hell was that?

I think Joe Johnson is somewhat underrated, if not for the fact that he makes like 400 million a year, or whatever.

Thats my recap.
