Are you trying to say that Harden is some elite shooter? Harden is nowhere close to an elite shooter. You may want to check his shooting splits before you start boasting about that clown. The only thing he is elite at is flopping for FTs and making the FTs

hes a SCORER, i was using 2 all stars to show you that its possible to NOT have a jump shot and still be good. But tehy have extremely quick releases

Sorry, I dont think the Houston model wins a championship, EVER. Wont happen with those guys and that coach.

What? Melo and Howard are twice the player that Irving is. That statement alone is very telling.

Melo is 30, max contract to Melo or a 21 year old?

Not even a question in my mind.

I HATE Dwight Howard

You can hate Dwight all you want but he is a certified game changer in this league. You put him in the middle, with our 3 pt shooting surrounding him, and we would be able to play with anyone in this league.

Melo may be older but he is still a top 5 player. Kyrie is not. Melo can be a top 2 guy on a title team right now. Kyrie can not.

LOL. I'm glad someone has time to do all of this archiving because I sure don't. You just remember to pull it up when I'm right. I will be sure to bump that Beat the Heat thread when I get home from our game 6 victory tonight. You know, the one where you and Panda said we stood no chance against the Pacers and Teague would get eaten alive.

bump it, I think I said something more along the lines of , i could see the Hawks winning, but the pacers were vastly superior talent wise, and tehy still are.

I still am not sold on Hawks winning this, they lose tonight, they are in BIG trouble IMO.

You only said that after we discussed it over a few pages and I started talking some sense in to you.

Jamaal even made a comment saying "Panda, you're starting to crack" or something like that.

Ha its predictions, if I could see the future.................

Hey fact is we have out played them, but Pacers win tonight, we wont be so happy going back to Indy for Game 7. Lets not put the cart before the horse here.

We were up 3-2 going back to BOSTON over Miami and then LBJ decided to do this

I wouldn't even call him a scorer. I would call him a product of the refs and the NBA wanting to make him a superstar. Just look what he has done against Portland. or hell what he did against OKC in the playoffs last year (Or should I say what he did not do).

Harden in 5 games vs Portland

34.7% FG 23.6 Attempts per game
25% 3's 9.6 attempts per game

Josh Smith can do better than that.

My bad, I didn't realize that the Pacers had the greatest player on the Planet suiting up for them tonight.

and I'm not overly confident about tonight's game either. I was just talking trash when I said after we win tonight. I understand that we could certainly lose tonight's game and the series if we don't shoot well in the next 2 games. Unlike ya'll, I prefer to take a positive approach to my team instead of a negative one.

When are we going to stop giving him a pass? He has 3 pt shooting around him now! Hes a cry baby , low motor, not interested in being a champion whiner. He will NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP because he has NO HEART.

Melo is 30 , KI is 21. Melo had George Karl? KI had Scott and Brown?

Melo is a top 5 player agreed. KI will be a top 10 player with his new team

If the NOVEMBER/DECEMBER PAcers show up TONIGHT, the HAWKS HAVE NO CHANCE.

The Hawks playing GREAT vs a mentally shattered Pacer team. The Hawks vs the #1 Seed Pacers team (which we havent seen in months) would have ZERO SHOT AT WINNING.

Im sorry its not even debatable.

Dont dismiss the Pacers yet, you should respect them. The moment you dont, we are in trouble. They could be the Pacers of the last 3 games, or they could be the Pacers of Game 2.

Houston will lose in the first round because of Ames Haren and not bc of Dwight. Notice I left out the J and D because he has neither.

That's funny because we played the Pacers on January 8th, when they were still flying high, with our current starting 5 and we beat them by 10 at Phillips. Hibbert was abused in that game like he has been all season by us. The Pacers were also 0-2 against the Suns this year. Wanna know why? They have big men that spread the floor. You need to start giving credit to our mismatch and our play instead of giving 100% credit to some mysterious mental illness that supposedly fell upon the Pacers.

I wouldn't be too worried about the Pacers coming out like they did in game 2. They scored 101 in game 2. Here's their point totals for games @ Phillips in the past 2 years.

2 games this year: 85, 91
3 games last year: 69, 91, 81

This years regular season

87 when we had our guys healthy
89 when we were missing Pero.

So color me shocked if they score triple digits tonight.

Im cautious because if we have a game 6 like last year, we arent winning. I want to see us win, trust me man. But Im also not guaranteeing a win because Ive seen us lose 11 in a row too.

Lets just get this W and talk about the draft/FA afterwards :P

Yeah, but the 11 in a row was when our only big guys were Brand and Scott. Why even mention the 11 in a row? It has nothing to do with our current situation.

I'm with you though. I will be in the house tonight cheering my ass off. My heart is already pumping fast as hell and it's 12:40. Sorry if I act like an ass at times but I love this team and I just see way too many of our own fans dissing this team and its players. Its the losing mentality and we will never win unless that mentality changes. Good thing for us, I think it has for our players. Hopefully, our fans mindset starts to change if we get the W tonight.

Its sports man, nothing taken personally. End of the day we are all on the same team. All want the same thing. I support the Hawks, but Im a transplant. Im a Boston fan, I bleed green, but , I love basketball and Ive been supporting the hawks for probably close to 10 years now. So, the way you are with defending the Hawks is how I am with the Celtics or Patriots :P FWIW I only post in this forum, I dont even post in the Celtics forum because even my own kind I cant deal with HAHAHA

And, FOR THE RECORD, im not saying you are wrong either, just debating , its what I like to do.

Ourp layers mentality has DEF changed. Koonin, this whole throwback logo thing, GENIUS. Hes going to change a lot about the team and i LOVE That. Its going to be a rocking house tonight

Pacers bigs simply cannot hedge and recover on any of your shooters. To be honest, Antic has been horrible this series and you guys only started making your wide open threes last game. Are the Pacers going to lose? I don't know. What I do know is that they have serious system perimeter defense issues that aren't going away unless there is a major lineup change--which Vogel won't do.

I'm rooting for you guys, but frankly, I don't think they need the luck--they are better.

Fresh off a game 7 loss, focus turns to FA and draft.

Hoopshype is reporting this morning that Atlanta is very interested in Greg Monroe.

Interesting......

The fact is, Pero and Teague are going to win this Indy series for us. He's going to be a major factor in the next round as well.

Teague did his part. I was right in predicting that Pero would be a major factor in the series. I just didn't know that it would be on the losing end instead of the winning side. Pero pulled a complete no-show throughout the entire playoffs. This guy can't be counted on, when the games matter the most, and he needs to go.

How one shoots 33% from 3 all year and then drops to 12% over a series, when every look he had was wide open, is beyond me. Maybe he's a mental midget and he chokes when the spotlight is on him.

Told the Hawks are "likely" to pick up team option on Pero Antic

To be Honest, I approve of this move, he's a solid role player. But he should never be starting for an extended period. We have to get a real Center to safeguard against AL being injured.

The team put Antic in a position to fail in the playoffs...and he failed spectacularly. But only a fool would think a defensive juggernaut like Indiana would be susceptible to a one-trick pony like Pero: a 3-pt shooting Center who can't shoot.
