It remains to be seen if we even get out of the 1st round. If we do you won't sweep us. We'll win 1 game, maybe 2 at best but as Raptor fans we're happy with that. No shame in losing to the 2x defending champions. One of the youngest teams in the league with 2 sophomores in the starting lineup.

Shaq quit on the Heat, but Mike D has quit on THREE teams in 6 years.

The Lakers made a terrible decision to hire him over Phil; it cost them Dwight Howard and it led to one of the worst seasons in franchise history.

If you actually believe D'Antoni leaving was actually his choice then lol...

Kobe and Pau don't want him on the team
The Lakers didn't want him, but told him privately they won't pick up his option so he can walk away with some dignity and not some ugly "I GOT FIRED" stamp on his head.

Lakers didn't want to headline the news that they fired the second coach in 2 years after passing on Phil Jackson for him, which essentially costed them Dwight as well.

Man, we had 15 points at 6 mins left lead in that game!?!?

Well... we were simply outplayed by the Mavs in that game. We didn't play well and we didn't make shots, but we didn't play like garbage and give away 4 point plays like it's Christmas. Did you watch the game last night?

Anyway, thanks for reminding me of the recurring nightmare 8-)

You guys were up 15 with 6 minutes to go in the NBA finals. If we have no excuse for choking a 22 point lead in 9 minutes, you have no excuse for choking a 15pt lead in 6 minutes especially if you have Lebron/D Wade/Bosh and your in the NBA finals.

We are one of the youngest teams in the NBA and the youngest team in the playoffs. We have 2 sophomores in the starting lineup (21 & 23). The leader of our team is 27, the all star is 24. The average age of our team is 25. They haven't experienced the playoffs before, They got way to caught up in the hype and big lead and started messing around.

The difference is, at the end of the day we pulled out a win. The Grizzlies choked 4 big leads against the OKC in game 2, 3, 4 & 5 and they still managed to pull out wins in 3/4 of those. They also let OKC get back into with stupid plays like fouling 3PT shooters. **** happens, all you can do is hope the team learned and move on.

Even though I always thought - and still do - that LeBron made Mike Brown look better than he really is, in hindsight, I think he did a very respectable job in Los Angeles.

He certainly did much better than D'Antoni with less talent.

Consider the following:

1) The Lakers lost Lamar Odom, and Brown still led them to the # 3 seed with no training camp and the second round where they lost to the eventual Western Conference Champions mainly because Steve Blake missed a WIDE-OPEN 3 pointer at the buzzer on the road in Game 2 (The Lakers would have gotten home court advantage) and the Lakers blew Game 4 at home.

The Lakers should have led that series 3-2 instead of losing 4-1.

Plus, Brown is a GREAT defensive coach...where he struggles is making adjustments during games and he's not a creative offensive coach.

The Lakers should have kept Brown or hired Phil instead of going with D'Antoni, whose run-and-gun offense turned out to be a terrible fit for last season's team and the fact that Phil took the 2004 Lakers with Shaq/Kobe/Malone/Payton to the Finals with a very similar team to the 2013 Lakers with Dwight/Pau/Kobe/Nash.

D'Antoni never should have left Phoenix just like Shaq never should have left Miami. Both screwed up. D'Antoni quit because he didn't want to practice defense and Shaq quit on the Heat, only to become a journeyman AND a ring-chaser.

I doubt Shaq will ever admit he screwed up because he has a HUGE ego. And nobody should believe what he said in his book that Riley kicked him off the team; Shaq was traded because he wanted to be traded. End of story. And he made a huge mistake by doing so.

Speaking of Shaq, I still can't believe Nash won that MVP over him in 2005. That was a joke and it still is.

The Hawks are no threat to the Heat, but man, Mike Budenholzer is an incredible coach.

The only teams in the East who can challenge Miami are the Nets and Wizards.

Yeah, good job pulling out a win last night. 8-)

I didn't even know you were a Raptor fan when I first replied.. but anyway, I got your point.
I am actually pulling for you Raps. I didn't like the way the Nets ended their regular season. I would be mad too if they lost the last regular season game on purpose and said "we are comfortable with where we are."
Good luck on game 6 (or 7)!

The Hawks are still in the playoffs?

Man, hope we are playing again soon so that I can keep track of what's going on around the league 8-)

Yeah if we do pull out the series against the Nets, I don't expect us to take you guys to 7 games or anything. I expect us to take you to 5 maybe 6 games at best but like I said, we're a young team and this season was about developing our young players.

The fact that we may potentially win a playoff series and win a game or 2 against you guys is just a bonus. The Nets tanked to face us and they beat us in 07 so it'd be great to get revenge finally. Good way to bring closure to the bad history this franchise has had the past 20 years.

Hey, one game at a time.

I never predict anything before any series. All bets are off as far as I am concerned.

I sure thought we would beat Mavs in 2011, that's when I stopped thinking like we will win this series in 4, 5, 6, 7. It never works that way, and that's so exciting about the playoffs.

I am excited for your young team with tons of potential 8-)

that's the mindset I like from a possible opposing team.

Most Raptor fans aren't immature. They know that their team lost 14 straight vs the Heat. I don't really blame Raps fans & their owner for not liking the Nets players & their franchise. Not only are they in the same division but the Nets tanked to play the Raps instead of playing Chicago in Round 1...As to why Raps fans taunt Nets fans on this forum is strange tho considering that there aren't that many Nets fans on this forum at all. I can only name about 6 of them really

The Oklahoman should show a little more respect to the guy that's made the only pro sports franchise they have or will ever have relevant...that said, he's had a bad series shooting the ball and his defense hasn't been anything special either.

And yet Westbrook will continue to get hammered down...
