I like this game thread because it shows that Rickie is likely to go deep at least once in today's game.

Heard Mike Wicket the other day say he likes Scooter at the top of the lineup because he makes contact and "it seems like he's on base every time."

Brb, .350 obp, on base every time.

They seem to crush Bailey. And he has been awful, given up 4 runs twice and 5 runs twice. Blanked the Cubs but still walked three and gave up 6 hits. Unfortunately, looks like Bruce, Votto, and Philips may have their way with Estrada. So far this season Votto is hitting okay but is getting on base a ton. Bruce is getting on base but is hitting only .220. Philips has been sorry.

Makes me feel a lot better seeing Ramirez and Segura back in there. A little nervous about Reynolds in RF.

.350 OBP for Scooter is actually good, but I still am skeptical he can hang there. Of course, he's proven me wrong so far that he'd be complete garbage, but he never was this good in the minors. Maybe as a straight platoon guy he does the unthinkable and doesn't have any dropoff (actually improvement) from PCL numbers. Who knows.

However, what he's doing right now is good. It still isn't a perfect situation since we are platooning a subpar defensive 2B but when he has played, so far he has produced at the plate.

Gomez acted like an obnoxious punk after that catch. The best way to deal with an obnoxious punk is to ignore him.

They should just ban emotion from baseball. God I'm tired of these "unwritten rules". Apparently he should also get a pitch in the rib cage for robbing a guy of a home run and showing some EMOTION!!

I'm not sure Bailey threw Gomez a single strike in that AB and he swung at 4 pitches.

Eh, team is playing mediocre at best baseball so far and it's a Thursday night. Reminds me of our weekday/night crowds though.
