Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Honestly coming into the season, I was really hoping Indy would take down Miami this year. So if they do get past us, I'm gonna root for them in the conference finals.

Indiana. Atlanta doesn't deserve to be there,... and I know we would smash them but I wouldn't feel that we accomplished anything at all. If we can beat Indiana in a series to get to the ECF,.. that would feel much more satisfying. And on the bright side, if Indiana beat us,.. then at least they'd have a shot at beating the cHeat,.. which is the ultimate goal.

I have to admit. I kind of feel the same way. Beating Indiana would be much more satisfying than beating the Hawks. With that said, I would rather play the Hawks only because our home games would be Monday and Wednesday of this week instead of next weekend if we played the Pacers. I have to go to my niece's graduation next weekend and would have to sell my tickets

Anyone know what the proposed schedule would look like? I had to turn down going to another game b/c aside from the schedule I had in mind if they played the Hawks, I don't know when Games 3 or 4 would be should they play Indiana.
I was thinking vs. Hawks: Game 1 on Monday, Game 2 on Wednesday
vs Pacers: Game 1 on Monday, Game 2 on Wednesday, Game 3...Saturday?

It's a only matter of time before Roy Hibbert reverses his Space Jam MonStars talent drain. I'd rather not roll the dice on that. Give us Atlanta, but unfortunately it looks like we'll draw Indy.

Wonder if there will be any suspensions here. PG left the bench before someone pulled him back.

Atlanta might still win. There's a pretty good chance that Paul George won't play tomorrow. He came off the bench during a fight.

Nah, I think PG stayed close enough to the bench. Rasual butler may get suspended. Plus, Im not buying all the big bad NBA talk. They arent going to bench the best player on a marquee team in a game 7 for that lil bit. Now if it was the Wiz then maybe...........lol
As for this series, Indy will be hyped if they play us because they will have come back from down 3-2 on the road, would have a 2 game winning streak, and they know that our matchup is more to their style then the Hawks one was. They know that Hibbert should be able to do alot more against us. They know that Wall is way better than Teague but they also know that the Wiz dont have a 3pt shooting PF & C so Wall cant get to the rim or disect them as easily as Teague could.
This series will be great. I 1st use to say that I think we would lose game one because we are rusty and Indy feels relieved. EVeryone would panic and say that they are better and we dont matchup well. Then we will win game 2 when no one expects it and change everythign around. Now though Im starting to think that game 1 may be the biggest game of the seires. Indy will be so happy & confident because of everything I mentioned while we could have a big head from the hype weve been getting but if we play well and steal game 1 then they will be depressed and we will just be playing too good of basketball for them to win the series after that.
I know Im just speaking of Indy but at this point I think its ok. The Hawks can definitely win but I think we all feel good abou tthat matchup so we can talk about that when we get their. I will say this. Everyone is talking about the Hawks stretch bigs giving them problems but quietly, Antic has been worst then Hibbert this series. He's shooting like 10% so he's not really stretching the floor. Hibbert's just sucking on his own. Also, just because Indy wins 2 in a row doesnt mean they are playin ggreat. They were still down 5 with under 3min to go against a bad Hawks team so they havent exactly fixed their problems even if they do win the series.
To me its simple. We can lose no matter what or we could still prossibly win no matter what but their is absolutely no doubt in my mind that we win if Wall finds his scoring touch again. They will not beat us if he plays like he can. Wall has been playing well but he's not making shots and it didnt start in the playoffs. Ive often said I was sworried about fatigue like Gil was in our 1st playoff run but I said he looks like he's moving well and with energy so I doubt it. Some thought KD was fatigued and I thought maybe that was possible and he could get his 2nd wind or find his game again. People are talking about Tony Allen but KD was missing bad like the last 4 games of the season, just like Wall. Last night KD found his stroke again or got his 2nd wind so Im confident Wall can do the same. We are playing so great as a team but Wall's shooting is the only problem. If he gets that back then Indy wont beat us.
On a side note, everyone is talking about Hibbert matching up better with us but what about Gortat? He was 50/50 against the Bulls or even less then that. They drove right by him alot. Indy doesnt have speed with their bigs like that so this will also be a better series for Gortat. Its just going to be a battle all the way down the line

NVM, checked the facebook presale and the cheapest tickets are in the 400 section. Not worth the $85. Kind of insane how they doubled the prices from the 1st round. I can't imagine what it would be like if they advanced to face the Heat.

How do you figure? Their current attention HAS to be focused to the matter at hand,
winning the series they are actually in.
Not to mention, we're busily scouting them since they are actually playing in games
and we're home resting/practicing which obviously isn't something they can scout.
Ultimately, it won't mean much unless a key player gets hurt/suspended. They are
no secrets in the NBA.
I like the fact that whoever we play will be slightly more worn down, esp ATL if
they do manage to win, since they'll have to travel after winning. IND can just wait
at home, we'd have to travel to them.

agree with your sentiments about who to play but I have the reverse situation
in terms of getting to games. I will have to sell my tickets for Monday if we play ATL,
maybe Wed too.

Not for scouting. As soon as they are done they will be handed a ton of stuff about us and our Bulls series. They have been in that room for hours. Meanwhile ours have been offset splitting between 2 teams but I think at this point they will concentrate more on watching Indy since they are a much bigger threat to us. But youre right though, I shouldnt have said assistant coaches

Also, Beal only averaged 13 ppg vs Chicago during the regular season then lit them off for 20 in the POs. So there's that.

Paul George has had a pretty nice series so far which sucks. Hate to see him find his groove again. The best thing about it though is that alot of stars like him, Lebron, KD, etc all play the same position as the guy I have the most defensive confidence in and thats Ariza. I think Ariza will play him pretty solid no matter what. He might have some good games but I dont see him completely owning us

Indiana. Atlanta is exactly the pesky annoying kind of team that gives us fits, particularly Teague, and Millsapp would crush us like Gibson did.
The Pacers don't scare me. I think Ariza can lock down George and Hibbert is a non factor. They also have no answer whatsoever for our backcourt and Nene/Gortat should feast. David West will kill us as he always does but we can live with that.

I'm thinking there should be a thread for luxurious concerns that few people thought we might have. First two:
Wizards might get rusty with 5 days off.
Alt/Ind have a scouting/planning advantage because they know who they will be playing but we don't yet.

I feel pretty confident that enough scouting resources will be made available.
Yes. Whoever wins will have known for a week who they would be playing next.
But they can't really focus on that, or I believe it would be stupid if they did,
until they've taken care of the matters at hand, winning the series they're in.
Win first, then worry about who you are playing next, but prepare for as many
eventualities as you can in the meantime.
There are no secrets. Also we can prepare for both teams at the same time by
watching the games in their series.
