FT totals don't mean too much. It's about how many fouls are actually committed.

I wish there was a clearer way to see when they are committed. It feels like we've always been on the receiving end of a foul call that kills momentum only to be gifted pointless calls at non-crucial moments.

Whats REALLY important is timelines and context.

How many fouls (on non shooting plays) have the nets shot in the penalty?

How many have the Raptors?

To the naked eye a lot of the FT's the Raptors have taken are on DeRozan drives and a lot of the Brooklyn FT's are on loose ball fouls.

We have Derozan and Lowry who is aggressive going to the basket for them? Plumlee?

Timing is big. But if BK get called for half the fouls they commit and we get called for twice the fouls we commit, the #s match up but it's not close to even.

A lot of good points being made from posters and I agree - I thought some of the same things when watching Devlin's video.

Seems to me like he was keeping it overly simple and was trying to say hey... Kidd is talking out of his ass. He threw in the 4th quarter thing at the end to say if anyone should be complaining - Raps should be the team complaining.

Obviously there have been better breakdowns in threads on RealGM.

there's a simple answer to that zach lowe tweet... the refs can't stop players from making shots... the better teams always win... the refs can try to control the game, they can make bs calls, but they can't control how well the players play... and i believe in the players... that's why i watch the game.

I'd be curious to see the individual foul trouble stats, i.e. numbers on players picking up 3 fouls in the first half, their 4th in the 3rd quarter, etc.

JJ is a jump shooter who does what he can to go away from the defender on the majority of his drives, I don't see where he has a complaint here.

He's incredible at hitting those floaters...but he never goes into the defense. He seems to make a point to avoid any contact in the lane.

Yeah but most people are fouled when they go to the hoop. They can't al every foul, the game would be too slow.

The funny thing is, Joe Johnson has a higher free throw rate in the playoffs than in the regular season. :lol:
