Over the last three games, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are a combined 50-of-153 from the field.

Scotty Brooks is gone. He suffers from the same thing Jackson does. Offensive ineptitude.

D'Antoni had resigned in LA. Not good news if were competing against them for a HC spot. But I think most smart coaches may not want that combination of again roster and demanding fan base. Buss is in win now mode and they don't have many win now pieces and Kobe taking up nearly half their salary cap

No one wants the Laker job this year with Kobe strangling their cap. No one. Not only are they not competition for HC candidates, but if there are any potentially attractive D'Antoni assistants, they just got freed up to start taking interviews for better jobs.

The Laker job won't be in demand until Kobe calls it quits.

I agree that it's a much harder sell and won't be as in demand but guys will still want it. Lionel Hollins has reported interest apparently. I think whoever it is will have to be on the same page as Kupchak as far as the draft and free agency goes because their roster is very incomplete. They seem to want to contend so I doubt they go with an first time coach. Will be interesting to see who they get.

If Hollins takes the job it's his for all of 2 years max. And it will end up being his last.

The Lakers are GREAT at destroying coaching careers these days. Ollie and Calipari would have to be either insane or offered a ridiculous amount of money to go there...knowing they can always find a gig back in college. They should be hiring Mike Woodson if they had a clue. A great underrated coach who's used to dealing with a crappy situation.

Agreed. If even that long. They haven't had a coach besides Phil last over two seasons in almost two decades. But I wouldn't say no one will want it like you did. This isn't the Cleveland Browns situation quite yet. And even they got a coach. If they listen to Kobe they probably go with someone like Byron Scott. I think a lot of better coaches will want a 4-5 year contract and don't know if Jimmy will allow that

Indiana could be in trouble for their game 7:

Paul George and reserve Rasual Butler stepping onto the court before the Pacers' coaches could hold them back. George takes two steps off the bench before heading back to the sideline; Butler goes a bit further, stepping out past the 3-point line in the corner.

Neither player actually got anywhere near the "fight," but that might not matter. Here's the letter of the law, from Rule No. 12 ("Fouls and Penalties"), Section VII ("Fines"), subsection c. of the NBA's official rule book: "During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their bench. Violators will be suspended, without pay, for a minimum of one game and fined up to $50,000. The suspension will commence prior to the start of their next game." That, of course, would be Game 7.

If George isn't playing they'll lose.

It's definitely going to be a former NBA-er turned college coach who takes the job. Spin it as a 'potential' hire when really it's just **** Kevin Ollie trying to handle Kobe and a high draft pick.

Brooklyn beat Toronto. Another game seven. I wonder what the record is for # of winner-take-all (game 7 or 5) in one preseason.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

The Spurs haven't dominated so far and that is a big sign of weakness. They should have been able to sweep the Mavs and showed that they are indeed the best team in the nba or close to it. Miami is the only team to have handled things proper and right now they look like being champion material again .

Is it true that McHale had a foul to give? Because there was ample opportunity.
