Hopkins with another win. Son of a bitch can probably fight until he's 75.

BTW, split decision? WTH is that? I missed the first few rounds, but from what I saw, hopkins completely dominated him. Schooled.

I'm far from a boxing purist like some here, but is that scorecard as baffling as it seemed to me? I heard that the first 2-3 rounds could have gone either way, but after that it seemed like a pretty clear B-hop win to me.

Oh no, I'm in the same boat as you there.

That scorecard for Shumenov was absolute BS, even Shumenov looked stunned when Jim Gray asked him about it

The fight wasn't all that close to me, Shumenov maybe won 2 rounds IMO. Got completely taken to school by Hopkins.

Quillin didn't impress me at all, the other guy seemed tough but I also felt Quillin seemed open for hooks. He does have good pop but I'm just not sure about him. He'd definitely be vulnerable against better competition at 160.

Porter overpowered Malignaggi, I think that is the best description of the fight. Combined with the fact that Malignaggi didn't move that much, it was just a bad recipe for him. We'll see what happens with Paulie, that was a bad beatdown but that was a solid win for Porter and he's certainly put himself into some bigger fights later this year.

Shawn Porter is a big welter weight, those were big shots that Malinaggi ate, surprised he wasn't dropped earlier but then again, Paulie has a pretty good chin

I've never been impressed with Quinlin. He's looked ok against relatively mediocre opposition.

Paulie should retire. I like him as a color commentator and analyst, but as a boxer I'm tired of his woe-is-me act and persona. I would love to see Porter against either Thurman, Garcia, Khan, Broner or Matthysse. They're all fights that have a realistic chance of happening as well.

Hell of a fight between Matthysse and Molina. Early FOTY candidate for sure.

That was the Lucas we expected to see in the Garcia fight if it wasn't for that eye, I think we all wanna see a rematch but I don't think Danny will give it to him

I thought Figueroa lost that fight last night, though there were rounds that were a bit difficult to score. Belmontes isn't crowd pleasing but he was the better fighter IMO. 118-110 for Figueroa was a flat out joke, much closer fight than that.

Matthysse/Molina...WOW! FOTY leader for me and I would think the majority of boxing fans as well. I was on the edge of my couch the whole time. Matthysse did take control of the fight in those last few rounds, he was pummeling Molina.

Too bad Thurman's fight ended with an injury to Diaz in round 3, maybe this means he'll be on a quick turnaround soon.

For all those that like to Blame Arum 100 percent for the current cold war, it takes two to tango. Schaefer is a Haymon guy, who refuses to do what's right for the sport as well. IMO he's just as big a scumbag as Arum. Good for DLH for trying to end the cold war and doing what's right for the sport. It's guys like Schaefer and Arum that hold it down.

A lot of talk right now about a rematch between Mayweather and Maidana in September. Khan is out due to Ramadan.
