Casey did great job with what he has. This roster lacks the talent to go toe to toe with legit rosters like Nets. Baffling he is getting criticism for taking a team like Nets to 7th game. Nets are no joke. They were best team since new year in the league, and Kidd has host of veteran players.

Lets look at the two biggest criticism that often is spouted by his critics.

1) Young players not getting PT. Ross/JV have gotten starters minutes since the trade. Despite what people want to believe (all PT going to Hayes/Salmons), Casey plays them even despite their struggles (JV 27min / -23).

2) Rotations. Every fan gets on the coach on rotations because that is very easy to see out there. Lets see what Casey has done during the year. 2PAT/GV are first options. No one argues with that. The big problem is lack of swingman. Ross is inconsistent to start with, and having no backup has killed this team. He has gone to Salmons, but often finishes with 3 guard lineup if he is not getting anything from Ross/Salmons. How is it on Casey if he has **** options?

Look at the rest of the roster. It filled with situational players and not legit NBA rotational players.

-Hayes - Limited big man. Used very effectively by Casey.
-Novak - 1 dimensional player. Used in desperate spots, and has helped turn around blow out games.
-FIelds - **** PLAYER who can't shoot. Defense overrated. Injured half the team despite not getting any PT.
-Hands - Can't play defense. Great energy and offensive boards. Draws fouls, but he hurts offensive spacing.

Basically Casey has had to roll with Lowry/DD/Amir + 2PAT/GV off bench. Anything out of Ross/JV is plus game to game.

People keep mentioning that Casey is a good coach. Top 5 COTY candidate. KG says we are a well coached team. Conspiracy?
Looking for a new signature. Currently, still evaluating.

His rotations are absolutely hideous, No way should Hayes or Salmons be seeing the floor in a must win like this. Hans is a much better option than hayes and I would just ride the Lowry/Vasque/DD/Ross rotation to death.

I voted to fire Casey as I think with a more experienced coach with any sort of offensive mind would have taken this team further. Although the roster has its obvious holes.

Nobody critizes an active coach. Casey did nothing to develop Ross or Val. Of fence is based in talent but defense is taught. Neither Ross or Val seem to understand Casey's defensive system. Nobody else seems to get it either.Over 50% FG and ridiculous fouls. Casey has to go

Another reason how casey cost us game 4

Post#271 » by Traps13 » Tue May 10, 2016 5:24 am

Caseys idiotic decision to let Demar shoot the amare techincal free throw cost us one point in regulation that would have been the difference to win the game.

Yeah, not like he's playing with an injured thumb and been unable to hit the ocean if he was swimming in it or anything.

Or is the thumb just more BS to excuse his crap play?

Thanks for reminding me of this ****. This isn't a regular season game where you let a guy who is struggling with a shot shoot a bonus free throw to get him in the groove.
