Gibson makes someone else expendable out of Zeller, McRoberts, Biyombo.

I'm already ahead of you. I'm definitely on board for acquiring Taj Gibson in a fire sale if the Bulls signing Carmelo Anthony become conceivable

Zeller would have to go

Much prefer Biz.

Biyombo is the only big left on Charlotte's roster that even resemble the presence of a big defensively in the paint. McRoberts, Zeller, and Jefferson are pulpy defenders

Zeller is Mr Expendable, for sure. He's well on a rookie contract, some team might think he has potential, and he doesn't provide us with much more than energy and hustle. McBob and Biz won't command much b/c they're nearing the end of their deals, teams would rather bid on them on the open market.

Thoughts on JR Smith? Obviously not a FA but would you trade for him? Got the chance to speak to him a little today and real nice guy abd seems genuine. Dude has to be misunderstood

Tolliver doesn't need to go anywhere. Its hard to find good locker room guys on minimum contracts who can at least hold their on on D while shooting 41% from 3.

Never seen a more talented head case. Jameis Winston is trying to give him a run for his money.

  :-? :-? Ok it's time we think realistically WHO we can sign and IF they would even consider coming here. First of all it's crazy to think that Stephenson would come here.He will re-sign with Pacers or go to a big market like LA,Chic, Dallas, or NY. That being said and needing to fill holes at 2,3, and 4 as well as upgrading backups at 1,and 5,here's a list in order of Trades/FA I believe we should go after:
1. backup Harris,Bayliss,Farmar
2 starting Afflalo,(trade Hendo)Henry,Morrow,
3 starting Batum, H.Barnes(Trade MKG),Deng,
4.Starting D.Blair,Lavoy Allen Backup Humphries,
5.Backup T Zellar,Hawes,Kaman

Your Thoughts?

Why would DeJuan Blair or Lavoy Allen start over McBob? Allen wouldn't even back him up, Zeller would.
I would never trade MKG for Harrison Barnes. I wouldn't sign Deng with the intention of starting him at SF either.
I like your 2-guard list, but Afflalo would be the only one worth starting.
All good backups. Bayless flies very far under the radar. 42/40/80 are some nice shooting numbers. Not much of a passer though.

Bring in AJ Price as the 3rd string PG to fulill Pargo's spot. I liked him with the Pacers and Wizards.

Lance may be a nut but he has heart, the only Pacer starter that has showed up so far in this game

Ariza making himself some money with this playoff run.
Would've thought we might nab him this summer for $4.5. Now he'll probably sign with someone (WAS, LAL) for what he's making this year, $7M.

Good. I didn't want him unless he was coming off the bench anyway. He's definitely knocking that 3 ball down effortlessly off the swing pass like a wing should tho.

and that's something we need. If Ariza's smart, he'll wait till the big name wings are off the market and sign with whichever teams are left over, because they'll pay up for his services. I know that if we strike out on Stephenson, Hayward, Deng, Afflalo, Green, Thompson, Martin, or anybody else, I'd definitely take Ariza for 5-6M a year for 2-3 years.

Washington will retain him with the full MLE. There's no way they let Ariza walk when their only other option is the relative unknown Otto Porter.

They also have Martell Webster signed for 3 more yrs at 5.5 M at the same position.

BTW, like Ariza or not, if we signed him and fellow ufa Gortat away from WAS we would be in the Eastern Conf Finals next year for sure.

I don't know, but did you see that MIA series? MIA basically ran their offense through our low post. Clifford could figure out how to add Gortat. Same thing the Polish Hammer does in WAS where he plays alongside and backs up Nene? same thing Tiago Splitter does in SA? Provide interior defense and rebounding, be rugged. some small market teams win by having depth if they can't get superstars.

:nonono:  Noway Arizia,Gortot,Stephenson end up a Hornet.. :noway: :noway: If Hibbert keeps playing the way he is,Bird will trade him,,Stephenson will stay in Indiana..

That said our best shot is at Afflalo(ORL) at draft time trading Henderson and pick 24-28(POR).Solving problem at 2

If Melo decides now his best shot at a ring is as a Rocket,Houston will need to move Asik and Linn and add another player outgoing or do a 3 way to free up 15 million more of Melos salary incoming.
Asik/Linn/2014 Houston pick at#25 to NYK for Melo. Then we are the thrid team as Houston just might entertain MKG as a backup for Melo and Detroits 1st pick (WE HOLD) for Chandler who solves our problems at 3.

We then let McBOb walk. and sign a FA 4 like Blatche(BKN) to start at 4 with Zellar
KW, ??
Afflalo Neal
Parsons JT
Blatche Zellar
Al Biz
