I might need to check out the Raps board for comedy.

Never troll the Raps board, you'll be permabanned from RealGM even if its a first time offense.

That being said, I'm happy to see them fail too. Although they would have been harshly swept by Miami worse than we were.

I hope the Nets beat Miami, they have the best chance of everyone in the East

I wanted to see them repping the east in the Finals. They were the only eastern team left that I didn't dislike.

He is also a Panther fan and a free agent, i think if Charlotte offers a decent deal he'll come here

Funny - basically, between Player Options and Early Termination Options, the Heat's entire team are unrestricted headed into the summer. I can think of far worse guys than Chalmers as a backup PG. Ridnour, for instance. The fact he is a Panthers fan and has a home there makes me like him a bit more.

There is a town called Wake Forest... in Wake County. The school used to be there but moved to Winston Salem years ago.

Indifferently, I could actually see Chalmers signing with Charlotte. He wouldn't be my ideal fit due to my dislike for the Heat, but he'd be a solid acquisition

Meh, I don't think there's to big of a chance he leaves Miami. Plus I don't think he'd add a whole bunch to us as outside of just being a good backup.

I think he leaves Miami unless he want to take the loyalty minimum like Haslem and Jones did. A few teams including us will be willing to give him $2-3 million to be a good backup. That's all that's expected of him outside of Miami. I'd take him even though I don't like him because my dislike for him is mainly because he play for the Heat. He's a decent backup that can shoot 3s and play defense.

My concern with Chalmers is that he'll struggle even more in an offense where he will be required to be more of a primary ball handler. In Miami, he can spot up and hit 3s while LeBron and Wade run the offense. In Charlotte, unless we bring in different players on the wings that can handle the ball better than what we have now, I think Chalmers would really struggle to lead the 2nd unit.
