Brooklyn Nets taking the respectful route from listening to their shootarounds. That's usually the sign of a veteran team that isn't afraid. Lot of teams try to psychologically trick themselves into having false confidence against us by talking trash before the series and we usually smash those teams. Nets don't show signs of inferiority complex which is going to make it tough. Game 1 is a must win IMO a team as hungry as the nets will wonna take both games on the road

Game 1 doesn't decide a series at all. Game 2 is always the most important because that's where adjustments come in. Either way I would love to win both games at home for Games 1 & 2 but i'm more than confident that we could grab 2 in Brooklyn if need be

Agree but this nets team doesn't need anymore confidence than they already have. Think about it, they're already confident about the RS. Imagine how much more confident they will be if they win game 1. Sorry but this is not the game to lose. The series either goes 7 or we lose if we drop this game imho

We certainly don't want to lose this one, but this team has proved they are beyond doubt at all times. I think the pressure is on Brooklyn, if they don't win at least 1 here, its 4-5 game series IMO.

Please don't start UD. He should only play the 5 in this series if even that. JJ will be huge this series

Exactly, I need to see the starting line up already. The Raptors didn't adjust to JJ in the post for 7 games and barely lost but we should have LeBron on him from the start. We shouldn't make the same mistake the Raptors did of putting a big on Pierce so he can get into a groove early.

Who is going to start in his place?
Shane. This series fits him perfectly because him and Lebron can interchange in between defending Pierce and Johnson without losing a beat on defense

Yeah, start Battier and have him pick up a couple of quick fouls, then go to who exactly ?

Shane is key for this type of series.

Why would he pick up quick fouls? Shane is one of the smartest guys in the league not to mention Lebron can play the 4 easily this series whiles JJ subs in for Shane and plays the 3

Battier has not fouled out of a single game this entire year, besides throwing out empty hypotheticals do you have any real suggestions?

In a series like this both teams will want to take something away. We would most likely want to take away the 3 point line and if I was the nets I would take a page from Doc rivers coaching and double team Wade on the catch like he did in 2012 and I would dare the 3 point shooters plus Lebron to beat me and I would flatten the court and switch a lot on Lebron taking away his passing game. Garnett would lock down Bosh anyways sigh

Apparently Battier missing a few games turned him into Oden

Yeah, I was replying to a comment about starting Haslem over Battier. Check your snark at the door.

Who is Haslem going to guard is what we are all saying. You honestly think we would be better with Haslem guarding Pierce than Battier? Haslem is far more likely to pick up fouls guarding Pierce than Battier so I'm really not seeing what case you're trying to make.

Key to this series is limiting Joe Johnson as much as possible
