Spurs look like the best team in the NBA that was missing the last few weeks. Wow.
PDX isn't a good defensive team but the Spurs defense is fantastic especially Splitter's pick and roll defense.

Argh I picked the Blazers today. I was foolish to think a young team could take down the mighty Spurs.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Even old guys Ray Allen and Shane Battier look like spry young kids against Brooklyn. But I wouldn't put it past the Nets to try playing with a bit extra physicality - and see how that works. At least if might help the Wiz - playing a bruised Miami team. But I'm jumping too far ahead.
Don't count them out just yet. You predicted they'd miss the playoffs. They'll take a few games.

Ruztradomus at your service. What about the Nets makes you think they'll win a few games against Miami - especially after Miami yawned their way easily past Bwooklyn in game 1? This series is like a scrimmage for Miami - keeping them in playing shape while they wait for the mighty Wiz. The real question is - are they going to rest their big 3 in game 4?

Brooklyn swept them in the regular season. Eventually they get into Miami's heads.
Brooklyn isn't a pushover by any means. Not even a fan, just they've impressed me in many games this year.

A few years ago, the Bux swept the Lakers and the Spurs and didn't make the playoffs. The Bucks won those games in large part because the Lakers and Spurs didn't/couldn't get up for them in the regular season. I doubt Miami got up for the Nets in the regular season. Short of KG piledriving Lebron on the polished ply-wood floor and Joe Johnson putting a sleeper hold on Wade, Brooklyn has no chance, imho.

And this is why they play the games.
I don't expect them to win the series, but they have enough talent to take a few games with physicality. Pierce, Garnett and Johnson and all crafty vets.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 2
I watched Barkley comment on this saying that for 2 of the losses, Wade wasn't playing and for the other 2 they were 1 point losses with KG lathering up the team to a finals game 7 frenzy. He also said that the only chance Brooklyn wins a game is in game 3 - their first home game. I agree. I can see this going 5 or even 6 but it's doubtful that Brooklyn takes it to 7, much less wins game 7.

KG missed a couple of those games too. Granted, it's not the same KG as even the 2012 version that averaged 19 and 10 in the playoffs but its another rim protector for J. Kidd to have.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 2
That's pretty amazing.
Is that a flop, though? Durant definitely exaggerates the contact, BUT that is a moving screen by Jordan, which should be called a foul.
Redick oughta be fined by Doc Rivers for how he ran that pin down. If he'd brushed against Jordan, the big man wouldn't have needed to move. But then we wouldn't have the Durant ballet thing...
trade offs

Could have a potential duet with Reddick or CP3 sometime down the line

I hope BKN win tonite. We don't have a chance against the well-rested Heat.

On the subject of flops here is my favorite Lebron flop. Shameless.

And who can forget this one...

But this is definitely the GOAT flop...

Durant exaggerates the contact, but it's very clearly a moving pick.
Really wish the NBA would make those moving screens a point of emphasis, it's a huge advantage gained by the offense and rarely if ever enforced.

The dribble handoff, running around the baseline, coming back around the screen, catching the ball and driving in the paint...
Wish we had a coach who could make Wall do this
I remember when Parker couldn't shoot about 10 years ago.
