Hayward had one bad shooting year from 3pt.... He has been an excellent shooter every year prior to this season.

posted this one on the trade thread:

DET trades: smith
DET receives: barnes, frye

GSW trade: lee, barnes
GSW receive: smith, 1st rounder from PHO

PHO trades: frye, 1st rounder
PHO receives: lee

seems to improve all teams involved. in essence, we'll have given up our 1st rounder from the gordon deal for barnes...i like this deal.

Don't mind this too much even though Barnes was clearly outshadowed by the emerging Draymond Green who has been nothing short of fantastic on both ends of the game in this playoffs.

At least we could try to salvage Barnes career.

Tell Phoenix to give us Markieff Morris instead of Frye then we'll have a deal. :D

You might want to read this thread if you think Williams would help us.

Williams for Smith and Jennings would definitely help us. While DWill isn't what he once was Hes still a big upgrade over Jennings. Then the fact that we would get rid of Smith as well in the process would be a godsend. Salary would be about the same but your getting rid of two cancerous players for a solid PG. It's not like I'm talking about trading picks or prospects for him.

Nets fans are really pissed about him and rightfully so. They traded for him when he was a borderline superstar and now he's just a good PG. But that's not what they payed him big bucks to be.

This would allow us to resign Monroe and Sign a wing or draft one. Maybe try and sign Deng, Ariza or Hayward. Maybe draft Vonleh or Harris.

Williams/Bynum
KCP/Harris?
Deng or Ariza/Singler
Monroe/Vonleh?

Had to read the last part twice. Thought you was saying we give up our 1st rounder in the trade, I didn't see it going out. But yeah, we keep the 1st, draft Smart or try to trade for Reggie Jackson, I'll have to change my pants.

You are expecting that Will Bynum would still be a Piston next season? :o

Great post.

Of course we do this trade, D Will would be the best PG we have had since Chauncey & getting anything of value for the idiot twins is a huge win.

No question D Will isnt even in the same atmosphere as what he once was but of course we do this trade.

The cap space idea is always overblown for most markets like Detroit, FA's arent coming here 9 times out of 10 so hold on to the good players you have & any players you can acquire via trade by any means.

Hope so, who else will pass Drummond the ball aside from Monroe?

it's shocking how hard williams has fallen, particularly with the fans. this guy is still a stud PG. he doesn't get as many touches or opportunities in brooklyn as he did in utah, and his contract is pretty ridiculous, but he would be a MAJOR improvement over jennings, and as commonly stated, removing smith from the team is addition by subtraction. i would take d-will for jennings and smith and run.

This would be a dream come true and would undue the mess Dumars has gotten us in in one single trade. I'm not sure BKN would be willing to take on two of the biggest cancers in the league though...

Why would Brooklyn trade their best player who is also considered their Franchise player for Smith/Jennings?

Is this a joke? If so, hahahaha.

Ask Ownership instead of fans why they would trade their franchise player who is a major draw for fans who go to the games for Josh Smith and Jennings.

Then, get back to me.

ask ownership if they're satisfied paying hundreds of millions for a mediocre product that gets them nowhere. the fans who are "drawn" by williams are counting down the days until he's gone.
