NFL.COM ANALYSIS

STRENGTHS Good size and balance. Plays faster than he times thanks to keen instincts, anticipation and route recognition. Zone aware with good eyes, ball reactions and hands to intercept. Outstanding leaping ability. Willing run supporter. Has special-teams experience, including as a gunner and jammer. Tough and durable -- logged 42 career starts. Team captain who understands what it means to be a pro. Was a 21-year-old senior.

WEAKNESSES Could stand to get stronger -- managed just 12 benchpress reps at the Combine. Man-cover limitations. Lacks twitch for the position. Has a choppy pedal and some tightness in transition. Gives up separation at the break point. Average production on the ball. Shows some stiffness when required to break down and tackle in space. Slips off some tackles. Squats on routes and is susceptible to double moves.

DRAFT PROJECTION Rounds 1-2

BOTTOM LINE Narrow-framed, confident, competitive off-man/zone corner with nice length, field speed and awareness. Is capable of contributing early on special teams and in sub packages.

^^^^He looks like a football

He was on my list. Good pick. If you can't build on a DT, you can build the future secondary on a great CB.

I like it. Sounds like a Peanut replacement after this season.

Don't really know anything about him, I am still disappointed StL grabbed Donald the pick before us.

Hate to relate everything back to the Bears, but it is my frame of reference. He reminds me of a taller longer armed Donnell Woolford. Love this pick.

Yeah, I don't know much about him either. I'm excited to see what he can do.

So, Imagine if the Bears can steal a nice safety in the second round. With the pass rush they may already have started with, all of the sudden the Bears are going to start getting more turnovers and can cover in the new age passing game

Let's hope he can turn into a lock down corner.

Hopefully he can play well next season so that way Tucker can limit Peanuts time on the field to keep him healthy longer for the season. Then start the year after.

Mike Mayock had him rated as the #1 corner in the draft for a while

saying he may start at safety but switch to corner later. Makes sense, but he better not be a tweener

I think he's the second best CB in this draft. Dennard i think is easily the best so im ridiculously surprised he's still on the board. I have a feeling the Jets are about to replace Revis with Revis 2.0

I think that's why Emery went with Fuller over Dennard or maybe they move Tillman to safety. I still think we draft a safety though. I think Bailey is the second best S in the draft behind HaHa and I think he's worthy of a second rounder but some experts have him going as far as the fourth.

KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

I was focused on the safeties or Donald. Since he plays a position where we already have players, my initial reaction was "meh". However, I did see someone bring up that he'd likely play nickel, which the Bears like to play a lot. So we may see a lot of Jennings/Fuller/Tillman together.

Donald is the enemy - I would never want him on our squad. :)

I would like to see the Bears move up in the second round and maybe get Buchanon or maybe Easley two need areas, and I don't think either will be available when the Bears draft in the 2nd round.

"Kyle Fuller is one of my favorite players in the whole draft," Mayock said during a Thursday conference call. "What's interesting about the corners is that mos t of the personnel guys have
[Ohio State corner Bradley] Roby and Gilbert as their highest rated corners just because they have better movement skills.

"Most of the coaches like Fuller and Dennard because they're better football players today. You know what you're getting. Fuller is my No. 1 corner, first- round corner. He has it in his DNA. He can play on, off, he can play man or zone."

Wow I didn't see Buchanon going that early, I would definately look DT in the second round now I don't see any safeties left worth a 2nd round pick

And there goes Easley to the Patriots. I don't see Jernigan, Nix, or Hageman lasting till the bears pick in the 2nd round. But we definately need to get someone to play the middle who can stop the run we were torched there last year.
