Skewer me again BUT Nets win this.

DWill cannot play any worse.

Joe will score >20.

Paul will become more aggressive & score 25.

WIN.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

I got skewered for being honest in the game 2 thread but I will continue to be true to what my own two eyes see.

This team is cooked. We ALL KNOW that Joe will be keyed in on and it all comes down to Deron exploiting his match up

Well you can forget about it. the dude is a bitch.

We're about to get swept.

I for one, welcome the adversity that the front office will now have to deal with. NO PICKS. NO CAP SPACE. Deron Williams with the worst contract in the SPORT on the books for the next 3 seasons

The Joe Johnson trade looks genius right now compared to the albatross that the Nets locked themselves into when they bidded against themselves to sign this ass hole

There's a reason why Mark Cuban didn't even bother to show up to meet this dude when he went to sit down with the Mavericks.

I hope Deron gets booed in Brooklyn when he gets announced and whenever he touches the ball. He deserves it.

Ok, so any brooklyn nets fans here? Because y'all sound like you hate your team, lol. Miami did what they had to do, granted they got all the calls in the first two games. Time for the Nets to bring it and take care of business on their turf. I expect the nets to win both at home and swing the momentum. Play with energy and tenacity, and run some plays for Joe.

We mainly dislike the "star" player of this team.

-2012 6th pick (aka Lillard)
-2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 picks

All of our assets were basically given up to kiss his ass and build a playoff team that he can't even lead and in a series where Miami utilizes two bottom tier point guards, Deron looks like the third worst on the floor.

If Deron fully contributed to 50% of our regular season games, we easily reach 50 wins and avoid Miami in the 2nd round, breeze through Toronto and end up with a much easier 2nd round opponent.

It's hard to have faith in this team. I don't expect Teletovic to hit 6 threes twice against Miami, I don't expect Miami to let Joe Johnson torch them and I don't expect Miami to play worse on the road. The Nets are borderline unbeatable at Barclays and that's all the motivation the Heat need to blow us out and send a message. This looks like a clean sweep and I'm usually not the overly pessimistic one.

Run some plays for Joe?

You think that will do it?

Mirza single handedly kept us alive in that contest last night.

I don't expect to see the Nets defend again like they did for most of the game last night. This is just very disheartening. I cannot blame anyone else but Williams for this because at the very least, he shows up last night we have a fighting chance to take that game

He has not only tanked this team, but by extension he has also tanked this franchise until 2016 when the books are clear. But by then, we have to hope that the lure of the team's brand and location trump everything else because no one in their right mind will come here to play alongside this BUM

Ok...this is going overboard.

Yeah, he's not playing good but what's the purpose of him getting booed in Brooklyn?

It's not going to inspire him to play better. We've already seen that positive encouragement from two champions and modern day legends in Pierce and Garnett can't motivate him.

Booing him will just destroy whatever soul this guy had, since his basketball skills have already been zapped from him. He might as well get one last cheer before he's shipped off some place.

This is an indictment.

I'm not sure how Prokhorov watched this dude waste his money like that and didn't have King on the phone ASAP

why wouldnt he get boo'd?

what makes him above being hated on. much better and much more accomplished sport stars in NY have been boo'd for sucking less then he has. And if positive reinforcement didnt work, then hell, why not give negativity a chance? i mean, **** is an issue and we make alot of excuse making. call the mofo out.

there is really no downside to boo'ing him, while show that the fans have a strong dislike for him may prompt the team to look into trading him at all costs, which would be a huge plus moving forward.

a 20 million dollar player just played 35 minutes in a playoff game, and scored ZERO points. and while he is being criticized, its being blown off like just a ho-hum run of the mill struggling performance.

the guy needs to go. you cant win with a player like him.

The missing posters that Nets fans put up around Barclays is much more embarrassing than boos.

When Carmelo let's his team down, you can see it hurts him personally to disappoint the Knicks franchise and fanbase. He always finds a way to make sure he bounces back. He shows absolute pride.

Deron simply gives you the same old bs "I've got to be more aggressive", "Shots didn't fall"

Let him get booed. If it can't motivate his ass then he isn't cut out for New York and they should ship his ass to Milwaukee or something.

You guys are historical. Sure, maybe it's not panning out as the organization planned but at the end of the day, Billy and the front office made the necessary moves to help improve the team. Look, lets rewind several years ago when the Nets were not even in the playoffs and were not even a lock to win almost any game they played in the regular season. This team has absolutely changed night and day compared to what the expectations were from 2008-2012. Are you not at all happy that we improved from 12-70 to second round of the playoffs with a competitive team. Let me tell you, the years after trading Kidd were a disaster and although it may look bleak while Deron is struggling, criticizing him and planning on booing him will not solve the issue. Deron is a player who has heart and is doing whatever he can to help this team. Maybe the team looks to trade him, I don't know, but he knows that he's going to have to get surgery on those ankles. Before everyone jumps the gun and blasts Deron and hopes that Billy makes wholesale changes, just be super careful what you wish for.

We can sit here and blame him for not opting to take surgery but a competitive team gives you a better chance to attract future star players. Don't believe me? Go back to 2010 after the Nets finished a miserable 12-70 and they were spurned. No one wants to play for a team that doesn't have the right pieces already set in place. This team was broken and Billy fixed it to make it competitive so that they are in better position moving forward.

At this point I just want an honest fight from the Nets... It's so hard these past two games to see us in it for 2/4 and 3/4 quarters and then just see them say, "**** it"

I'm not sure if it will happen but I hope for two solid games at home where we stay in it and close it out twice and at least give then a fight and take it to 6 games. At least show them that we can protect home and play better there.

I can't give anymore **** about how DWill is playing, I keep hoping and wishing something changes but he just can't be relied upon anymore and that's the truth. If we're going to win it will be on the backs of PP, JJ, Livingston and KG.

Let's try and get a **** win guys! Please, my heart can't take anymore of this giving up attitude
