2014 NFL Draft - Round Two - 7pm ET
WE select at #53
I'd like
LB Kyle Van Noy - has a complete game - run, blitz, coverage. Able to play inside. His size is a tad bigger than Mosley
or NT Daquan Jones
or TE ASJ or Niklas
or WR Martaris Bryant

I think a lot of the best impact players left are on Dline and that fills a need for us as Peppers/Raji are probably both here for only one year anyways. Pretty sure our next pick is a defensive lineman like Hageman, Nix, Tuitt, Jernigan.

There are A LOT of quality players in this 2nd round. I also wouldn't be surprised if we traded up high into the 2nd or higher in the 3rd. There is just good quality across the board.

NO way to get another 2nd rd pick unless we trade a pick from next year and Ted never does that. Our 3rd 4th 5th & 6th doesn't get a 2nd

don't want Tuitt
I like Jernigan & Nix but they will be gone
Hageman is greatest boom/bust player in this draft - I pass for a LB, WR, TE instead

Cool. That's not what he said.

I agree with the idea of getting a WR, TE, or LB - in theory. However, I also know this WR class is insanely deep. As much as I love Robinson, Adams, Latimer, Moncrief, and Richardson (and, to a slightly lesser extent Mathews)...you really could still hold off until the 3rd or 4th for a quality WR like Landry, Coleman, Herron, or Bryant. Whereas, in terms of space-eaters with upside Hageman could slip a little bit and we could see the Pack trying to remedy the mistake that was reaching for Worthy in our 3-4 scheme. I'm completely unsold on Worthy. Completely.
However, this is really where it gets so damn interesting:
(1) How highly do we really covet Richburg?
(2) Do the Packers covet Will Clarke and Jeremy Urban as much as I do? I love these guys. I think they could be total steals in the 3-4th rd range. Particularly, Urban. He's the cat's pajamas and he's under the radar because of his foot injury.
(3) When do we grab a WR?
(4) Will Van Noy fall to us?
I can see several different scenarios unfold and, in many ways, this is our best day of the draft - i.e. it feels like TT does his best work in this range. It's where we grabbed Nick Collins; Terrence Murphy; James Jones; Randall Cobb; Jordy Nelson; Eddie Lacy. ****: That's some **** quality work!

Real fired up about Dix. Great value, potential playmaker on D, I'll take it.
I really hope HOU takes Derek Carr, simply for the story line. Do they have the balls to do it!?

I'm hoping one of the tight ends falls to the pack but I think it's a long shot. If they don't then I'm cool with almost any position (except qb or rb) with that pick.

I don't see that happening whatsoever...
However, when TT drafts a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round they tend to be ridiculously good...I'll take my chances with whomever they dial up. Honestly, as long as we don't settle for Abrederis I'll be pretty damn happy. I just can't fathom bringing in a concussion prone frail wideout. That scares the **** out of me.

Hoping for one of Seferian-Jenkins, Amaro or Borland in the second. Also wouldn't mind a trade up back into the second to take Richburg. I'm not completely sold on Tretter taking over full time.

Re: 2014 NFL Draft - Round Two - 7pm ET
I think my ultimate day 2 outcome would be:
Round 2: Jace Amaro/Seferian-Jenkins Tight End
Trade Up: Probably would cost you a 3rd and maybe a 4th or 5th or future pick?
Round 2: Weston Richburg Center
Round 3: Chris Borland Linebacker (At this point I'm hoping his stock falls because teams worry about his size.)
This is just my dream scenario, not what I think will happen.

Landry just seems like the kind of WR the Packers get, probably get him the the third round supplemental pick.
