Hey all, good luck tomorrow, maybe we'll get a game where one team or the other doesn't win by 20. Fun series so far, I think that will def continue. Congrats to Crawford too!

Thanks man, you too! This series is definitely due some overtimes, clutch shots, technicals and general dramatics. I'm pretty sure this weekend will deliver :D

We NEED to win this in any way possible

Going to be a difficult game. You know the Thunder want to get the pressure of winning one on the road out quickly, but we want to give ourselves an advantage going into game 4. Going to need to defend a lot better, mainly on Westbrook. DJ needs to make his reads quicker and be in the right spots to close out the lane and force him into contested mid-range jumpers. He was the main culprit in game 2 when it came to help defense, maybe just because his man was generally on Westbrook's side and not because Blake would have been better, I don't know. CP also needs to give Westbrook just a little less space, enough to prevent him from getting a head of steam when coming at him.

Offensively, for the most part, keep doing the same things, except Blake needs to face up and quit the bully ball. It's not working. Players have to adjust, think of CP, game 1 of the playoffs he tried about 5 rip through moves, and got nothing. He hasn't attempted one since then. If you aren't getting a call, if a certain thing isn't working, do something else (unless you're limited), but Blake isn't. Blake needs to face up, attack that way, and be a playmaker.

I actually have been content with the defense on Durant, you aren't going to shut him down, so 28.5 PPG on 20.5 FGA in 39.1 mpg and .577 TS%, that's a good baseline defense vs Durant for us. If we can hold him there, which is still good performance, but considering during the season he averaged 32 PPG on 20.8 FGA with a .635 TS%, we are holding him below average a little. Now if we can do a better job with Westbrook and Ibaka, again, not shut down, but it would be nice to get Ibaka in the high 40% FG, not 60%, and Westbrook anything under .550 TS% as opposed to his current .704 TS% which is not reasonable at all.

Today is a great day for a Pancake breakfast....
a day spent at the library devouring this paper that is due in a week.
a trip to Copps for some alcohol
a Clipper victory
and then a late night bar crawl post Clipper game (which I have done a handful of times after Clipper games over the past 2 years here)....Ned, this is the definition of aiming low and planning to aim low.

but most importantly....a Clipper victory.

I'm hoping that the crowd and change of scenery helps the team. I'm expecting a crazy atmosphere and for our Clippers to play better. We really need Blake and Chris to step it up. I like our chances if they can both go off on the Thunder.

Also I'm going to Las Vegas this weekend so I should be on the forum during game time. I'm just saying there's a chance that I won't, but I'll try my best to be in here with you guys.

Blake needs to step it up on both ends. Its hard enough having dj try to keep up with westbrook but when ibaka gets free that's being lazy.

DeAndre needs to have a monster game.

I'm thinking a 3-4 block 16-20 rebound game.
he needs to be the guy who's energy is dominating, not Serge.

i think I'll start there....then maybe...Blake should get going 2nd.
then Jamal needs to hit. 3rd.
I kinda trust CP to just be CP.

It starts with Blake he is the first freaking option. Stop shooting jumpers and passive and Jordan needs to continue to crash the glass and get putbacks. Doc also needs to be little more strict with giving starters more minutes.

Cp and JJ need to box out Westbrook letting him run loose is unacceptable. Barnes needs to move his feet better on durant.

DJ & the reserves need to have a pulse this game.
We beat them easily this way especially after CP/BG/JC put up their usual numbers.
Also, it would help if we can shut down everyone else not named KD or Westbrook.

GO LAC!

not to be a Debbie Downer....

but I had a thought (again) about how bad Dudley sucks and how we could have just tried to sign JJ outright.
and then I thought....

Could you imagine Russell Westbrook trying to punk Eric Bledsoe in the post? :banghead: :banghead:

then i got sad.
then i said....no time for that...we better win tonight.

Interestingly enough, Russell didn't have much of an issue against Eric in the post last season, even though he's a much better athletic matchup. Ideally we'd want a quick SG on him, or really just be more aware on defense and get to spots quicker.

..oh and another thing, can we please grab some defensive rebounds?
