Ran into AJ Hawk at Bestbuy today. What a complete douche. He projects douche off of him.

He parked in the first handicap spot. Ended up walking next to me in a isle I looked at him bc I was surprised how ripped he was in person for someone who lets players drag him a few yards after every hit.

Just looked at him once, left him alone and he says to me "Ya Im Aj Hawk" and I seriously thought he was going to punch me for just looking his way.

Sometimes he plays like he's handicapped.

This is awesome. Nothing better than when jobbers act like all timers. For WWE fans, it'd be like the Honky Tonk Man acting like the Hulkster.

Will put this in both places...

Stevie Johnson to the 49ers for a 3rd. I am not a huge fan of Stevie, so I'm OK with that trade.

ESPN shows that he was traded for a 2015 conditional 4th rd pick. I do not like Johnson much either but I really dislike seeing the 9ers get better without giving up much....like last year grabbing Boldin for a 6th.

Edited: ESPN updated report saying that its a 3rd if performance conditions met.

This is pretty much my impression of anyone I've ever met who attended State of Ohio University. Granted the n is small, but it's been remarkably consistent.

If it's possible, I dislike him even more. Handicap spot, seriously? Ugh

Are the Rams on Hard Knocks this year? That could be pretty interesting.

ETA: Looks like it hasn't been decided yet. Cowherd made it sound like it was already announced that it was the Rams.

Man I'd rather have Chancellor than Thomas. That's just me though.

So the only reason I know about this is because it is reported on every news outlet in the history of life. But I found these quotes from/about Michael Sam amusing.

“I just wish you guys would see me as ‘Michael Sam the football player’, instead of ‘Michael Sam the gay football player’.”

Procedes to sign on with Oprah to star in a documentary about how he is the first openly gay football player and his journey to the NFL.

“We are honored that Michael is trusting us with his private journey in this moment that has not only made history but will shape it forever,” Oprah Winfrey said in a statement. “I am proud of the focus on authentic storytelling in our new documentary series format.”

Trusting them with his private journey... that will be broadcast to the world. So it isn't private at all.

Gay, straight or whatever... Michael Sam is starting to seem like a real tool. But maybe it's because I can't escape the story even if I try to get a break from it for a day. It still pops up on RealGM, Facebook, Twitter, Google, the radio, etc.

It's odd in the current world we live in where guys can monetize their story immediately now.

Apparently the Rams didn't know he had already signed up for a reality show when they picked him 2nd to last. Makes you wonder if he would have been picked at all if that had been publicized. Now, if I'm the owner/GM of the Rams, I'm deathly afraid of cutting the guy for fear of retaliation from the gay community. Kind of like the Mozilla CEO having to step down. The reality show will only make it worse. It's easy to see why some teams may have passed on him.

Other guys have reality shows. If the guy is bordering on being cut, he's trying to cash in while the iron is hot.

Yes, he probably is disingenuous about the "it shouldn't be a big deal at all, don't even consider my sexuality" type argument but I think once again some people are trying to look under every rock for a reason to support their opinions of things.

Yeah, I don't have anything against the guy cashing in, especially in football where you aren't paid great and could have health issues for years to come. I'm just glad we aren't going to have to deal with that media headache during training camp.

It's an unfortunate distraction on the team mostly brought on by the national media and now he is contributing. The good thing is that he's making it easier for every passing player that goes through this. Maybe a guy will come out on a team next year and get reasonable scrutiny, and by the 4th or 5th guy, we won't care.
