Good 3 + D player

Re: Bobcat: Raptors will make a run for LeBron
It's highly unlikely and I'd bet good money that it doesn't happen. However, if either he or Durant were looking at it from a different angle, it could make sense to someone who thinks outside the box. Here are a few reasons...
1. The challenge of making Basketball the biggest sport in Canada. From a God complex standpoint, this has to be appealling. If you could go to a country and will their 4th sport into being their #1 sport it would have to appeal in some way. A couple championships and being the center of the N.A. sports landscape could do it.
2. I can go to the Raptors and turn them into a contender. I can go to any city in the NBA and turn it into a destination for others. I don't have to follow in others footsteps to get championships and can instead go anywhere and make it happen. Another God complex reason.
3. The women and the nightlife. You guys keep posting pictures of the cities, but NBA players don't go out hiking and bird-watching and ****. They don't care about the scenery. They're about the nightlife. We are called white vegas for a reason and are a known city for NBA players partaking in the nightlife.
4. Our in arena atmosphere. The last thing he wants to do is go to another city that takes a ho-hum approach to being a fan and takes his presence for granted. We had thousands show up to a glorified parking lot for the 1st round just to be near the arena. Imagine if we were legit contenders. So not only does he take on the challenge of making B-ball huge here, but he also has a young rabid fanbase already in place.
5. We actually have a team here that would be a good fit around him. Assuming DD can improve his spot-up 3s slightly, we have the perfect assortment of players to surround an elite SF with. This isn't some team with glaring holes around him thats need to be filled with washed up guys. The only hole we have would be the one he's filling.
Now I realize that both Lebron and Durant probably won't bother to look at it from those angles. They probably strictly think.......Bigget market and most championships. However, if I had Lebron/Durant talent I'd love the idea of playing for a new team every 3 years or so and immediately turning around their fortunes as the teams savior. If they do want to try different challenges, a different environment and take a very different path to creating a legacy for themselves, who knows, maybe we have an outside shot.

Both want to be on our team but Durant is younger.
Durant > Lebron in this case and fill the rest of the team with good role players.
I'd rather take Durant too...in 2016. But the title, especially in the east will be going through Lebron until he declines. And he doesn't looks anywhere close to declining and is next to unguardable these days.

He cites the fact that Akron is a 45 minute flight or short drive from Toronto as a reason why LeBron would entertain the thought of coming to Toronto.
Thoughts? Surely Drake doesn't have THAT much of an impact.
Newsflash - there are 29 teams (30 if you count Miami trying to re-sign him) that are going to make a run for LeBron.

Durant is married to a WNBA all star isn't he???
Fiancée Monica Wright... plays for Minnesota Lynx
Oh and NO to Lebron... Not a fan and wouldn't want to see him as a Raptor.
Bro she has bigger muscles than him

When did Leiweke shoot down that rumour? The only time I remember him talking about it was on PTS and TL was pretty vague with his answer.

I would much rather Durant but hey, I would definately not say no to Lebron.
So frankly, let's get them both.

Re: Bobcat: Raptors will make a run for LeBron
This thread is reminding me of how much I hate LeBron.
It's a shame we couldn't have gotten him to the ACC in the 2nd round. The Nets right now look like the just-happy-to-be-here team, there wasn't even a point to them winning our series.
