That is very cool of the Kings to do. Even if it's purely PR, there's always a chance somebody will surprise them with some findings.
Go Bucks!

There was an old experiment that had a large group of people guess the number of jellybeans in a jar or something like that. Not one person was correct, but as a whole averaged out, the group got the correct answer.
That said, an NBA player is not a static commodity like a jar of jellybeans. Lots of things can change and happen that will have an effect on that player's potential. Its more likely that they are interested in methods. Several thousand heads are better than a dozen kind of thing.

If Thanasis gets anywhere near Moute's D influence... we have a solid playoff type guy needed in a assist-barren post-season NBA game. The fans, especially the casual ones, would embrace the potential just on name alone. Hopefully this would engender a positive sense of colonialism in the Ante's. I haven't been to a Bucks game in a while, yet it is probably fair to say the energy goes up when Giannis does something special... more than with any other player.
Honestly, I see a large market team reaching a bit for him, and keeping him on their roster solely in hopes of luring Giannis when his free agency comes around. It might be a risky proposition, but the reward might pay massive dividends.
Giannis couldn't hypothetically become an unrestricted free agent until 2018, so I'd say the odds are more or less zero that someone drafts Thanasis and keeps him around for four years just for the off chance that he helps lure Giannis, who if he amounts to anything will be hard-pressed to turn down a big extension in 2017 anyway.
Ultimately, you draft a guy because he's a good player, not because you're trying to appease his more talented sibling. It's a nice story, but it's also a can of worms since odds are Thanasis would probably be someplace else in four years anyway. What if he stinks and Giannis holds a grudge for trading/not re-signing him? What if Thanasis resents people thinking he's only on the team b/c of his brother? I'm not saying any of these things are likely, but I honestly worry that it could do more harm than good unless you really believe in Thanasis as a player.

Don't people remember the JR Smith fiasco in New York?
Plus I remember seeing that Giannis didn't really want his brother on the team because they both play the same position.

I have never seen a basketball player waste their potential more thoroughly and fully than Jamil Wilson did in his time at Marquette. He was a huge match-up problem waiting to happen but all he ever did was nagout out on the perimeter and pretend he wasn't 6'8". I never want to see him play for a Wisconsin team again.
Yeah I get that, but I see them both having a floor as solid 3 and D guys. Both could go undrafted and I would think we could be in the lead to sign them at that point. Who knows, with a little work either guy could be a Matt Barnes/Thabo type player. The Morris twins seem to have both elevated their games together. I have 3 older brothers and if put us up against each other on the practice field we go at each other a lot tougher than anyone else would. Jamil has the tools to be as good as Butler, who knows if he ever realizes it. I thought he had a solid tournament last year, but I didn't get to see any of his games this year from the desert.

The Giannis quote was earlier in the season, and I think he either retracted the statement or was being light-hearted because he's since that time retweeted people calling for the Bucks to draft Athanasios (as has T, himself).
Any team reaching on Thanasis, will be doing it foremost because of his own talent, work ethic and character. They've seen the positive sensation that Giannis created for the Bucks and will want to get in on some of the Antetokounmpo experience. Perhaps someone could have the distant shot of sometime acquiring Giannis in mind but it's just not that likely or too much of a threat for MKE.

Ehh I don't think Wilson is an nba player. He's not a good enough shooter but more importantly I don't see him being a good defender. He's not good enough moving his feet on the perimeter and he's not tough enough to check any nba 4s.
Thabo and Barnes as both substantially more athletic than Wilson in terms of both explosion and lateral quickness, and the Morris bros are bigger and tougher in addition to being vastly more skilled.

Of course, but the article alludes to another factor. Brett Brown coaching an Australian team that invited Dante to the roster when he was only 15 could be pretty significant if they're really interested in him.
If Hammond is drafting, it seems as though his #1 & 2 guys are probably going to be Embiid (back health withstanding) and Wiggins, if his "practically living" at Kansas happens to be true.
You have to consider the connotation of 'intently', it seems suggestive that they've appeared more enamored with him than the other top prospects. He could be their #1 or 2 guy, that's how I'm reading it. On the other hand it could be draft tactics but the lottery hasn't even come yet.

Not too surprising for those two but when players don't goto the combine it's disappointing.

Did nbadraft.net always have their nba comparison for Wiggins to Vince Carter/Rudy Gay?

That website is terrible. But I don't remember seeing them having Carter. I think it was McGrady for awhile.

Don't get why they wouldn't attend the combine.

Parker: better to be thought too slow for the wing than to prove it.
Embiid: probably isn't 100% yet. Already a lock for top-4, perhaps worried an awful showing could drop him back.
