I wasn't feeling well and passed out before the Jets third round pick...You mean we coulda drafted Gaines and went with McDougle!? WTF

I liked Pryor, Loved Amaro and I'm still disappointed in this draft because McDougle isn't an answer. We're gonna need Patterson to stay healthy or Kyle Wilson to suddenly figure it out now. It might not be so bad but really, Gaines is a great fit for us...this sucks.

Add to that, we didn't use our plethora of picks to jump back into the top three rounds and get a burner to draw coverage out and the fact that we'll leave this draft with more cap space than any team should have...I'm just annoyed.

Giants picks fit a need so I'm happy with them. Richburg was projected as the best center in the draft so he can't be worse than Baas. And Reese says Bromley reminds him of a shorter Canty so we'll see. I'd like to get another OL, likely a LT, a TE, RB and a S.

So frustrated I didn't mention expectations for today.

We need an edge rusher, maybe some ILB depth as well, still need a burner at WR and with our glut of picks I want to see a project QB and project RB (CJ and Ivory are both a bit older so a flier on someone would be nice). We've GOT to bring in some O-Line depth too unless last year's red shirters have improved big time (that's not to mention Winters being weak last year and Colon coming off a torn bicep).

I could see the four picks in the fourth going to WR, ILB, G/T (Tiny Richardson would be a coup), QB...I think the Jets might be the ones to grab Sam as a situational pass rush guy too. Another G/T and a RB in the later rounds as well would be nice. Then you still have a couple of picks that can go either way.

Edit: One thing I DON'T want to hear but that would not shock me, Jets take a shot at Justin Blackmon after the Jags inevitably release him. I'm hoping they learned from Goodson and avoid it, but this just sounds like a cheap player to acquire who has boom potential at low expense...I could see him in a Jets uni on a one year deal.

My Giants are drafting quality guys who also fill need.

Hopefully we hit gold like we did in 08

Just gonna keep reaching for guys they could get with later picks instead of trading down...I'm not sure if Idzik doesn't know how to trade during a draft or if he refuses to do it but either way that's two straight reaches imo.

Who also have no one to throw to him. Im not sold on EJ. Not only that but we traded probably a top 10 pick next year for him. I would of been happy staying at 9 taking Lewan and taking someone like marquiese lee in the 2nd round.

Give EJ a chance. Last year was a bad year for him, but such is the case for a lot of great QBs in thier first year. He's really the key to this year. If he can prove he's good then we should win 10 games and next year's pick won't mean anything. As far as Watkins, listen to this. Start at 2;40 http://media.957thegame.com/a/91199810/ ... jordan.htm

We also got a beast OT in Cyrus Kouandjio in the second round and an extra 5th round pick.

Yeah I trust Idzik, he drafted high character guys, they might not have the 'potential' as other players, but they'll make it up with pure talent and character imo.

Idzik basically built that seahawks squad, so I trust him building this team 100%

I've actually liked this draft for the Jets. I'm surprised that we drafted three WR's after Amaro, but I like something about all of them. Dozier and Dixon were Division II beast, Dozier can be a real coup. George has the looks of a special teams ace and well I don't know a damn thing about Enemkpali.

I'm sick of people grading drafts while drafts are still going on, looking at you Mr Revisionist History Pharm. Jets added toughness and grit with every pick, many pundits are giving us favorable grades.

ya i liked this draft for the Jets. i know what you mean about grading before its over, but they gave us an "A" so im happy lol...and liked the QB pick after as well..

not spending money this year doesnt bother me. you dont spend it just to spend it, were still a year or 2 away from developing a lot of youth already, plus 12 more after today...sandbag and whip at the wallet next year after we have a better hold of our needs, while developing players and chemistry.. dont know what we could have blown our wad on this year that gets us rings anyway. not quite there yet...
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

Jets needed receivers, corners, a TE and safeties, and they got all that plus an OLB, a G/T, and a QB to develop. Solid draft.
