Not now or ever will that duo be feared
And I said OKC easily beats clippers. And they easily will
OKC is the best team in the nba right now. Two MVP candidates on fhat team
And huh? OKC is far from the best team in the NBA right now. Heatles & Spurs are playing much better than they are

Yup. I was guilty of calling them one of the best back court duos in the league.
I hate players who always give us their best shot, but never seem to do much against anybody else.
OKC is always going to be up and down because they are just playing let KD and WB out-shoot the opponent basketball. They took some bad shots down the stretch last night, but they just made enough of them. It's hardly good basketball, let alone the best.

Man who are we fooling.... there is no going to be any upsets
It's going to be OKC-Spurs in WCF, Heat-Pacers in ECF
Spurs-Heat rematch I don't know, Spurs will have a huge ass chip on their shoulders and we got lucky
I want OKC so bad, we would beat them in 5 again.

^ NO. Bring on the Spurs should we make it to the Finals. Getting tired of people writing us off. We have much of a chip on our shoulders than they do to be honest

whatever happens in the OKC-clippers series will give a better picture at the champ , if OKC wins , I see them beating the spurs and being in the finals. They're a tough team no doubt but an easier matchup then the spurs would be for the heat. Then again when you have lebron and a healthy wade and the rest of team is clicking you can beat anyone.

There is no way San Antonio beats OKC. Book it, bet money on it, bet your life on it, etc.

my thoughts EXACTLY. A lot of Heat fans forget about this. Hell one of our mods was telling us how we should "fear" the Nets when y'all was playing them in the first round. I want entertainment. This second round has been poo, even the Heat-Nets series so far. HEAT play their absolute BEST when facing adversityEven the Heat board has been slow. Last years playoffs we had A LOT of traffic in our GT's

Speaking about the Spurs. We could have won in 6 if it wasn't for the mistakes in Game 1.

Re: Around the NBA 9.0 (Playoffs Edition)
Is it too hard to focus on one series at a time.....this team needs your motivation and xtra energy for the task that's right in front of them.....
I'll repeat this once again...
Other teams are trying to win A CHAMPIONSHIP
we're trying to 3peat...., you know OUR THIRD N A ROW....There is a BIG difference
Use your extra energy on THIS TEAM. In order to get to OKC/SPURS, we need to win 2 more games against our CURRENT OPPONENT, then 4 games from the next opponent.....
I know you guys know this.......

How is us looking ahead to the next round and Finals going to impact the team's "motivation". This is an online NBA forum and I don't see what us discussing other series/opponents has to do with the team's motivation and energy.
You are a good poster so I am just trying to understand your POV here. Something doesn't add up.

He's basically saying that the series that we're in now against the Nets isn't over and that we shouldn't be wasting so much emotion worrying about other teams & looking forward to other rounds right away. Basically one series at a time

Kobe was is and always will be the biggest selfish prick of this era.
Did anyone watched Jimmy Kimmel show? Let alone those comments on coaches, teammates, lakers. He is really proud of scoring 40+ points on 42 years old Michael Jordan.
I'd love to see him make a push for another huge extension after the next 2 seasons, to see how kobetards would gladly say that's worth every dime of it, to see how Lakers would suck in the foreseeable future.

Oh, I can understand that but I just don't see how us (fans on an online board) looking ahead will impact the team's "motivation" and how the team needs our "extra energy". But as far looking at one series at a time, yeah, I get that.
I think part of it is just the fun though that comes with the playoffs. Especially how the West is stacked this year, it makes discussing and analyzing more fun.
Other than that, I get WD's point of focusing on one series at a time.

Yeah, obviously I agree with you on that. The *team* itself should not be looking ahead. Agree with that 100%
