Exum sounds like a physical specimen who would've been a day 2 pick at the latest, but ran into injury, then chose not to play even after being cleared to return by Dr. James Andrews, who's apparently involved in 99% of all athlete surgeries

Haha I didn't even notice that. What do you guys think of Teddy B.? A part of me thinks he can be really good. Primarily a pocket passer, which is what we need, hard worker, football intelligence, and makes smart decisions. On the other hand, I can also picture him being just a little better than average. Similar to Cassel. I hope Bridgewater starts game one and never looks back. Said he was going to play with a chip on his shoulder.

IF you hadn't heard, Patriots drafted Zach Moore, DE from Concrodia- St. Paul. Pretty cool.

this could be the year all the young linebackers we have start getting in on more action - i'm with the others here, we have a reasonable stable of young guys that we need to see what we have before drafting any more
Hopefully a couple guys that were depth last year step up, because the linebacker position looks kind of weak right now.

I wanted the Vikings to get Bridgewater over all the other quarterbacks, and it's sweet that they got him all the way down at 32. I think he has the skill set over the other guys that will lead to the most NFL success. I'm not thinking he starts day one unless he blows it up in practice and preseason.

Re: Draft thread
paul allen made a good point that they shouldn't go in with the attitude that bridgewater will sit for a year or half a year - it should be an open competition between all three guys from day one to push everyone to be better

Re: Draft thread
Ya I dont think the Vikings are expecting anything of him right away. Appears that Cassel is starter until someone out performs him. Just listened to Mel Kiper talk about Anthony Barr. Needless to say, he wasn't to big on him. Said he was athletic and most of his big plays came against average tackles. Doesn't fight hard through blocks and has an offensive mentality compared to a defensive mentality. Though he did mention he can be good if Zimmer coaches him up. Which I fully expect.

Michael Sam sighting in the 7th. I liked the sound of Ahmad Dixon too as a potential hard hitting safety, but Exum works

About as good a draft as I could have hoped for. Vikings definitely seemed to focus on athletic, productive players. Can't argue with that approach. One thing to be a workout warrior, but if you can back it up with a productive college career, come on down.

Antonio Richardson, Marcus Roberson, and Christian Jones all undrafted. I wonder what the reasons were.

It is a fairly big deal I suppose.

it's a small step towards the acceptance of a certain descriptive group of people, but doesn't do much for the ongoing issue of everybody hating everybody
