Any chances Deron turns in a 30/10 game, or something vintage like that? Would be so awesome if he did and led us to a win.

Is having a throwback performance every once in a while (he obviously can't do it every night anymore) really impossible for him at this point?

BTW, just based on how that game went, how motivated Miami is gonna be in game 4, and the way LeBron looked at the end of this game...I feel like he's gonna go off in game 4.

Really liked the shortened rotation by kidd tonight. Blatche, Mirza, Anderson and Kirilenko were the only guys off the bench that played real minutes. Hope Kidd does that again.

I predicted a win tonight & I predict a win in Game 4 - unless the putrid cock sucking refs blatantly give the game to the Heatles.

This is why the Heat team was out of sync tonight. It just hurts my eyes.

I want Anderson to start and Livingston off the bench though. I know Livingston ultimately played a good game...but we got off to a slow start because the Heat were ignoring him on offense. His lack of shooting can really be a drag on the offense. Anderson is a douche, but the Heat have to respect his 3pt shot, which gives guys like Deron, Johnson, and Pierce more room to operate.

Actually, you know who would have been awesome to have instead of Anderson? Keith Bogans. IDC what anyone says...I loved that guy. Perfect role player. 3 and D guy who, unlike Anderson, knew his limitations and didn't try to create off the dribble unless the shot clock was running down.

He was also a better defender than either Livingston or Anderson, because he was a disciplined defender that didn't give stupid fouls.

You and me both, bro. He'd be great for this team. Never complained, played smart basketball and knew exactly what his role was when he did play. I understand why Thibs loves him.

I think the whole mystique about the Heat being "invincible" all of a sudden just because they swept the Bobcats is gone. The Heat played poorly at the end of the regular season, they are not even a 1st seed team in the weakest conference for that matter. No team in the playoffs right now should fear the Heat at all...well unless you are the Bobcats and your best player is taking pain killers because he has plantar fasciitis of course.

I think Nets gain momentum now and they just keep capitalizing. Interesting to note that when Pierce got in foul trouble, and teletovic came in, it was a blessing in disguise. I like it when Joe Johnson and Telenovic are in at the same time, it really spreads the floor well. I'd like to see Livingston, Blanche, Telenovic, Joe Johnson, and Pierce in at the same time more often...that would really get Miami scrambling.

People are crying about Nets shooting 60% from three, but one reason for that is that they are moving the ball extremely well and getting excellent looks...that is exactly what you need to do against the potent defense of the Heat, and Kidd obviously knows this, as that's what Dallas did to the Heat to beat them in the finals. Deron gets huge credit because he had a good amount of assists, and more importantly, minimal turnovers. I think he did a phenomenal job out there by making the right plays.

The Miami Heat armor has been ripped off. Time for the Nets to give the killer blow to the Heat, and win the next two games. The energy and confidence the Nets get from this game will carry over to game 4.

No, it wouldn't be awesome, because the way you beat the Heat is by moving the ball around. What Deron needs to do, is to do exactly what he did in Game 3. Minimize turnovers...be aggressive going to the hole, and create spacing and plays for your real offensive weapons: Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Teletovic, KG, Blatche, etc. Deron can have his vintage game against the Pacers when George Hill guards him.

And PJC was playing Jerry Stackhouse in the playoffs over him :banghead:

Agreed. And Deron needs to really continue to push the ball and move it. If he does that, it serves this team a lot more. Kidd must have gotten into his ear because despite him shooting like **** his passing had a HUGE impact on the game and that must continue for us to even have a chance.

AK47 gave us a solid 19 mins defensively. We'll need that agaiN

Damn I missed last nights game, one of the few Net games I missed all season.

It was for a good reason though, my mom's 66 B-Day.

Shout out to all of the mothers out there, especially those who raised their kids to be Net fans.

LETS GO NETS !!!

Wish I could see more posts like this from other Nets fans. One of two things is apparent here in Game 3; the Nets are either finally starting to reveal the Heat are starting to really wear down or Miami is going to have to adjust. Hopefully the first is more true than the latter.

With the win last night comes belief. They should now believe they can play with Miami (in the playoffs). They just need to duplicate the same effort and intensity.

It all depends on whether his 3pt shot is falling. Right now, he's getting into the teeth of the defense. He's getting to his spots. The 10 assists (9 of them 3s :o ) kinda shows that. He's drawing a lot of attention. He's taking good shots but he's just not making them.

Idk what exactly the issue is - whether it's the ankle or his confidence or whatever. Great 3PT shooters don't just burn out like he's doing now. It's strange. His shots are more open this year. I'm sure his bum ankles don't let him get in the gym and take 1000 jumpers after every bad game like he probably wants to - which is a shame.

As for Miami being motivated, LBJ looked pretty damn motivated to start the game to me. He had that look in his eyes like he wanted to crush us early and go for the sweep.

lebron will be pumped, but really, we have the vets to counter that... and honestly i think we can beat them even if lebron drops like 45-9-7. to me its about stopping bosh, making wade a jump shooter and keeping them off the FT line. and for the most part we have had ok success with that

it comes down to finding ways to score.

No, he needs to do a lot more than what he did in game 3.

Hate to burst people's bubble...but he once again had a bad game. 11 assists vs 2 TOs is nice, but overall, he shot like crap and scored only 9 points. Let's not get too excited about a 9 point, 11 assist performance. And many of his assists were on 3s, some of them contested, in a game where all of our shooters were on fire. So, I take those high assists numbers with a grain of salt.

He needs to come out with the same mindset...but he needs to start hitting shots, period.

yeah, he wasnt bad in game 3, but we need ALOT more from him if we are gonna challenge miami. we need deron to be a 20/10 guy, not a 8/10 guy. we need him to dominate his position.

i mean, im being 100% serious when i say i think jason kidd could play at 40 and give us as much or more then what dwill gave us.
