Been a bad year for the Hov. Magna Carta Holy Fail flops and people realize it was a ruse to push a Samsung phone, gets called out by Drizzy Drake, Dre becomes the first multi-billionaire rapper without shouting in half his tracks about how he's a "Businessman" and now gets wailed on by a female and the video leaks, making him the punchline for his own and likely most famous 99 problems track.

If Jay was such a don, no one let alone a female and his wife's sister would look at him the wrong way before even attempting to do what she did.

That's assuming that right now Dr. Dre has $0 in his bank. In reality he's worth $550 mil and 25% of the 3.2 billion would net him around $800 mil give or take, making him a billionaire.

I didn't say he needed to keep his female in check but he surely should demand enough respect for said female to not go Liu Kang on him in an elevator.

Edit: The real misogynist here is the person who got famous referring to females as dogs.

The $550 he was worth included his share in beats. His share sold for $800mil which is roughly only $480 after taxes. You have to know what the value of his share in beats was before the sale to deduct it from his $550 net worth, then add the cash coming in. It comes out to just under $1B

You might be right. Wall Street Journal revised their article to reflect this.

If the Forbes estimates are correct, Dr. Dre needs about 450 million more dollars to become hip-hop’s first billionaire — equal to a 15% stake in a $3 billion company. Neither Beats nor AppleAAPL +1.14% is talking about the reported deal yet, so these are early days, and we may never know the exact ownership picture at the headphone maker. But in the rap race to ten figures, Dr. Dre is now likely to be in first place.

Update: Forbes has a piece up on the deal and says it valued Beats at $2 billion when estimating Dr. Dre’s wealth at $550 million. The magazine guesses that selling Beats at $3.2 billion would leave Dre worth about $800 million, taking capital gains tax and other adjustments into account. So by their estimate, he’s in the lead, but still needs to hustle if he plans on crossing the billionaire finish line first.

He's worth something like $100M more than diddy now. Still props to him. Though it seems it took to much taxes out. I taxed him at ordinary income which would have been like a 39% tax rate as opposed to 15% capital gains tax. either way dude is rich

pretty much, but then he and Chris Brown could do a mixtape in jail together since he's apparently in jail for violating his parole.
