Sure, not every prostitute loves to be with every single client, and of course they may put on an act to make their client feel better because that's what their business is...to show their client a good time, and they can certainly enjoy giving a man what he's lacking in life. In addition, they are human, and if they have an attractive client they can genuinely have a fun time for sure. It's not like some fat old guy comes in and thrusts himself onto her and then bounces...these girls are schmoozed and romanced for the most part to the point where they establish some report ...as result they are comfortable and legitimately willing to satisfy.
Exactly my point, at no point did I say every prostitute... or every call girl. I actually give plenty of wiggle room for the other point. I leave the possibility open that some women might like their jobs. That does not mean they all do, or that each of them likes every client, or each wants some strange man on top of them every day. You are taking a slice of the business, the call girls or escorts at the top of the prostitution food chain and allowing that to frame your entire argument.
spree8 wrote: Also, as some of us are saying, in regards to the top level girls, they're absolutely not having sex with 1000 men a year. The ones I've talked to say they have maybe 3 men per week max...some of those men request more than a standard hour. They may book them for a whole day or even two and take them out to lavish places as their escort. Again, they only do this a few months a year, so let's say 5 months...their rates are approx $800-$1000 per hour.
Again, I am looking at the industry as a whole and basing my discussion off of that. I really do not care how much they make, or where they work, or even who they work with they are still whores and I personally find them disgusting. That is my opinion.
spree8 wrote:Do the math...for arguments sake, let's say they get one all day session out of the 3 per week, and 2 one hour sessions. Let's say the all day session is like, I dunno, approximately a $5000 special, then add two $1000 days...that's $7000 a week, times 4 weeks= $28,000 a month times 5 months =$140,000 per year and only 60 men per year for a couple years until they finish school most likely or open up a business of their own or something...whatever their goal is.
Their motivations really do not interest me, I don't care how much they make, or why. I see what you are saying but it is in no way relevant to my post, or my points. In fact the only thing you did say that in a sense makes my argument is these girls you are arguing as not having all that much sex to get rich are sleeping with 60 men per year. Some multiple times, each time is a chance to contract a disease. So really, it makes my point you are at far greater risk having sex with a prostitute than a girl you are in a relationship with.
spree8 wrote:Again, the level of protection they go to ensure they don't catch any diseases...they use rubbers for intercourse and oral, and some don't even kiss. So where exactly would the infection come from? Although it may be possible for high level clients to carry diseases, it's not as frequent as some scumbag off the street looking to bang a 2 dollar hooker.
No protection is 100% safe, and their are aids clinics FULL of people who used various forms of protection and still contracted HIV. There are so many people in the world with herpes, it is a staggering number. There is no 100% safe method of protecting yourself from disease other than abstinence and that is not an option if you are a prostitute.
spree8 wrote:I know plenty of girls who have had sex with a dude without protection, as well as dudes I know that have had unprotected sex with girls...hell I've done it myself in the heat of the moment when I was younger and stupid...thank god I didn't catch anything, but the fact is that all of us were susceptible to catching something. I'm sure plenty of people here either have done that or know someone who has...therefore, even if it's only %1 of all girls that have slipped up once, the fact is that 100% of prostitutes use protection...that's just the fundamental rule...that statistic alone can argue that point that they are disease ridden. They are probably more likely to get an infection from drug use if we are talking about cheap hookers.
STDs and disinterest are risks with sex between normal people. If you have a girl who is not a paid prostitute and she is having a lot more than the average amount of sex she is A LOT More at risk than someone who is in a monogamous relationship. That is just a fact. Multiple partners, more chances for infection and disease.
spree8 wrote:You almost make it seem like the only girls in the world who carry diseases are prostitutes. I used to be in the medical field and it's shocking the things you see and hear about people getting infected. It's funny you mention house wives because I recall one situation where a wife cheated on her husband, caught an std and gave it to her husband. It's possible to get diseases in the most unlikely of situations, but prostitutes are predominantly very careful...especially the top level.
That is your interpretation of my statements, I never said that and I am not an idiot... clearly. I understand non-working girls can get an STD I have been around for a long time, and I have seen a lot of things in my 42 years. The point you made at the end, about a housewife... yeah it happens and I alluded to that in my post actually. Cheating members in a marriage. Re-read my post. You are making points I made, and or agree with quite a bit. Or you are arguing points I never made... and at times supporting my points so I have to assume you just support the industry. That is great. I do too, I think it should be legalized and regulated, the girls protected, and the businesses that orchestrate the industry taxed.
I made that point above as well... but guess I will reiterate it as I am not sure you read or got my post.
spree8 wrote:Bottom line is that prostitution has been around for...well, damn near forever...millions of men take part in it, whether they admit it or not...this consists of the highest class of men through the lowest as well as women. It also consists of men who have no problem getting women on their own and those who depend upon their companionship ...even for married men.
Yep, said that as well. Been around forever... sadly high class guys still have disease. Some guys with a lot of money are still fat and disgusting, some smell.. some have no manners or social graces. Money doesn't make you physically appealing... or do away with your short comings.
spree8 wrote:Also, regarding that poll...where the hell was I when they ran that? I was never asked...and I'm sure all the people I know weren't...so how can stuff like that be accurate when they aren't asking all of the men in the USA? It actually says how unreliable the study is within the study lol.
Come on man, you are smarter than that. You know how polls are orchestrated. It is not possible for those administering a poll to talk to every human being on the planet, they take a sample of the population, and if they set their survey up properly and allow for highs and lows in terms of averages and allow for lies, and set things up right they can get reliable numbers. We as a people rely on polls quite a bit if you are saying polls are not reliable that is another subject all together.
Polls can be TERRIBLE, you need to look at who, why, how, where, and over what period of time. Some polls are biased by those administering them, some are rock solid and set up properly to return valuable statistics.
No one asked you but they asked a lot of people, go check out that link and read up on the process and over what period of time it was administered. I included it so people could do that. I think a good study "LOL" admits that it has potential faults and flaws, because you just cant know for sure you can only look at what data is returned and go from there. There is massive value in the data and it can really tell a great story even with chances for some of it to be bad. You just have to know how to orchestrate the poll, and then honestly interpret the data without bias. Which clearly was done here, they are honest throughout and I respect the **** out of them for that.
