Brilliant comeback by the Clips.
They were resilient, determined, never panicked. I hope the Wiz were watching and learning.

I hope Wiz were practicing FT, not watching.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 2
Doc is smart. The reason he put CP3 on Durant is to turn him into a post player because he has no post game.
Just like when he used to put Rondo on LeBron in 2010 and 2011 and in some cases in 2012 ECFs
Also reminds me of when Carlisle had JJ Barea and Jason Terry and Jason Kidd all guarding LeBron effectively in the 2011 Finals.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 2
I don't get the love by NBA teams for Steve Kerr as an NBA head coach. Granted, he'll have a great mentor (who can control him, btw), but no coaching experience? That worked way back in Bill Russell's day - when player-coaches weren't unheard of - but only with players who commanded great respect. What has Steve Kerr ever done to get a big reputation? I think he has talent, but having him start at the top seems like a bizarre decision.

Strong effort from the Nets tonight but they shot 5-22 from 3. Hard to beat the Heat shooting blanks from 3.

People have tried saying Lillard is the next or close to DROSE.
I think they got it wrong.
A better comparison is Agent Zero.
Dude is fearless and not afraid to pull the 3.

They had two bad possessions by going to ISO Joe when LeBron was guarding him and he forced two shots.
Should have kept it in Pierce or Williams hands and get a couple quality possession out of it. Nets gave that game away IMO by going to Joe Johnson.
LeBron has to carry a lot of deadweight. The Heat's role players aren't as good as last year, D-Wade has clearly declined and looks to be coasting without a care in the world, and Spoelstra doesn't know how to use Bosh and has him spotting up from 3. He made the clincher last night, but that's not a shot he'll make when the pressure mounts more and more.
And the middle of the lane is WIDE OPEN when you play Miami. That blitz pick and roll scheme would work on someone like John Wall or Russell Westbrook but it won't work against Tony Parker.

Wow, refs cheat to help OKC get the win (out of bounds play, and phantom foul on a Westbrook 3). Too bad.

Whoa, did Doc really say that they "got robbed" by the referees?
He's gonna get himself a pretty hefty fine. What do you think the over/under will be for him?
About $15K? (give or take)
Wow.

Yup. Atleast that.
I feel bad for the Spurs. They are next and they'll get games stolen from them just like in the 2012 WCFs.

If CP3 was careful with the ball, we would not even be having this discussion. He had money on the game

I think Paul did foul Westbrook, that was such a horrible way to win a game. Westbrook forcing up a 3 when he didn't have to - and there was no way he was going to make it. It just happened that Paul made the worst decision of his NBA career and fouled him. Westbrook should have been the goat of the came, but he goes away the hero. Even besides that, the Clips choked away what should have been a win - up by 12 with 4 minutes to go. That was worse than the Wiz giving away game 4.

I thought the worst play of his career was CP being lazy with the ball and getting it stolen....
Or you might be right, when he fouled Westbrook taking a three,,,,,,,
Or it could have been him choking and loosing the ball w/o taking a shot.....
Hmmm, you're probably right.

Re: NBA Games Discussion Thread - Part 2
The refs weren't great but it was Chris Paul who lost that game for them big time. Fouling Westbrook, couldn't bring the ball across the time line, losing the ball at the very end and not even getting a shot up... it was bad.

Looks like the out of bounds play with Jackson may have been the right call according to the rules;

Nets going out swinging tonight. Heat falling in love and dying by the 3 pointer for some reason. D-Wade is getting buckets.

Surprised how well Joe Johnson has played in the postseason. He still doesn't rebound or get to the line but is averaging 20 on 52/40 shooting.
edit: daayyyummm JJ is just punking Lebron right now.

Heat go on 13-3 run and end the series
Nets are horrible at executing late.
