I think that's an oversimplification of what I said. Kyrie had to slide over to the two and be hidden in Brown's defense. Kyrie likely would have been displeased with that approach - in year when we are asking him to sign an extension. A year after committing to a defense-first approach, with some actual progress, we reversed course again. But for KI, we don't do that.

Please Lional Hollins. had a #8 seed upset the #1 seed a few years ago, and then took an undermanned Grizzles to the WCF last season. Why has this guy not been picked up by anybody?!

I am so, so, so, soo happy that Mike is gone. I didn't like him the first time we had him when we had the best player on the planet. I didn't like him this time. That's the thing people are forgetting when they say, "he didn't have much to work with" - he had LeBron last time!! The players just simply don't respect him and you can definitely tell. We need a guy who the players respect, I don't know who that is right now, but that's what we need. The players are here, we can make the playoffs with this current roster. Now, let's do it!

Irving, Waiters, and Deng start for the majority of the teams in the NBA. That's it from our end of season roster. Don't get me started on our beginning of the season roster. We have no rim protector. We have no offensive threat in the post. Our best defensive guard is probably Delly. That is not a playoff roster. Deng is leaving. Hawes is probably headed out West. AV is another year older. Our best 3 and NO D player, CJ Miles, might leave as well. That's not a playoff roster.

The owner (correctly in my view) believes in the importance of defense. Yet he just fired a defensive coach. The new GM believes in offense while simultaneously talking about the need for fit. Apparently irony is lost on both the owner or GM. Meeting in the middle is not as simple as it sounds. You are going to draft, sign, and trade for players. Are they two-way players, defenders, or scorers? We appear to be building around Kyrie without knowing about Kyrie's intentions and level of commitment. How did that work out last time? I am very, very worried about my Cleveland Cavaliers.
