no one.

only trade i see remotely possible is:

Dwill

for

Jennings + Josh smith

Brooklyn has to add Mason Plumlee at least and maybe a pick. Jennings only has 2 years left. D-Will is by far the worst contract in the NBA right now.

yeah add plumlee - that could be fair. they don't really have any picks left to trade.

Does he want out because they aren't contenders?

Because like, he's the reason they aren't contending...

Aren't Deron and Kidd supposed "best friends," what happened here?

he has the leagues worse contract. so even if we got bad contracts in return, it would still be a better situation for us.

The draft pick thing is irrelevant. the 24th pick or whatever it is we would have had this year wouldnt have made much of a difference. and i really dont see dwill as being the difference between us making or missing the playoffs. i mean, he played average or worse for all but like a 3 week stretch of the season. i mean, there arent many guys who wouldnt do we he did, and tons who would give us more.

I can't remember anymore what happened between him and Sloan in Utah, but whatever it was certainly killed his career. Sloan and the Jazz were perfect for D-Will.

It was amazing how much better Livingston was at PG than he was.

Yeah. The Smith/Jennings for D-Will idea is literally the only one that could work. Detroit I'm sure would love to dump Josh's contract but obviously D-Will's contract is even worse. Josh could replace Garnett who should retire at this point and Jennings can be the replacement for Williams.

That's an Isiah Thomas trade right there.

it would be a great trade for the nets.

Smith makes 14M, Dwill 23M... so our cap number in 2016 would gove from 24.3M + cap holds to 15.3M in cap holds. that would be enormous for us. combined jennings/smith only make 2M or so more then williams does in 2015, so it wouldnt change our situation that season.

On the court, I like Smith as a better fit on the nets... kidd likes to go small ball and smith is better at PF. i think that would be an ok fit.

In theory it could be a good fit for the Nets, but you're trading one headache for two. Garnett/Pierce might leave so you likely won't have the veteran leadership to deal with their antics.

It's more likely they would be the continuation of your demise instead of a change of scenery.

Just read the same story on nets daily. A lot of people are taking this article with a grain of salt; until Woj reports it I don't trust these "sources" either. The Nets have invested the franchise in him and clearly both of his ankles are messed up. Give him next year, same core plus an 18 and 8 player in Brook Lopez, and make one more run at it.

Lmaoo how dare he want out. No one wants you DWill. I'm so pissed at him. I actually used to argue for him sayin he's the best PG in the league. You played me DWill. Your middle name is now Joe Johnson Jr. With that contract.

Plumlee would be a deal breaker. it wouldnt be worth it.

I can see the nets adding mirza teletovic to the deal though.

dwill is the worst contract, but smith aint too far down that list himself

I guess nobody .

You apparently forgot all about the Sacramento Kings. Ideal landing spot. Cousins + Gay + Deron = LULZ.

Nets would still have to throw in a sweetener to make this work. Smith+Jennings production versus D-will production on the Pistons would be a wash, but the Pistons would be taking an extra 9 mill in salary for the 2016-17 season. Maybe include Nets 2021 1st round unprotected?

Fair enough.

Brooklyn would be picking 17th this year.

I dont think the nets would role with that. also, thornton wouldnt start. without another trade, it would be:

Jennings/Johnson/Anderson or livingston or pierce/Smith/Plumlee

If the nets make the trade with detroit, they would be smart to trade lopez for a point gaurd.

Lopez for a top 20 pick in this years draft and take a PG?

lopez + rights to bogdanovic for Rondo + one of the celts bad contracts?

something of that nature. id assume jennings wouldnt play here, and would just be an expensive bench suit

Use to be a huge fan while he was in even over Paul. He and others have said he is a system player all the way so whoever takes him needs a great coach. I like the idea of him to Detriot under Van Gundy or maybe to Mavs.

Still hard for me to digest that D-Will is the worst contract in the league. My how times have changed.
