This has been debunked already and is just a silly rumor.
As a Nets fan sure Im frustrated with DWill, but again if he (and thats a big if) can get his ankles fixed Im sure he can be in the top 5 PG conversation again.
I mean just look at Steph Curry he had ankle issues for 3 seasons and is now playing like one of the best players in the league.

Except Stephen Curry has always play at a high level. Deron has been playing like **** since he went to Brooklyn.

Deron Williams isn't an all NBA type player anymore... and getting MAX money... no one really want that unless they want to get rid of some worse trashy contracts in a trade.

List your current top five point guards... and then tell us who he could replace... then you realize how silly your assumption is.

Houston would be there best option.. I'm not sure they could get more than Lin + Asik for D Will

They could probably get Felton and Bargnani for him

or

Felton, Bargnani, and Hardaway JR at the most

One of the few ways Knicks can possibly upgrade there roster. Not sure how much of a upgrade D Will is at this point though

How about when your team doesn't have its best player?

Imagine how different we would be, when we had Lopez in the post instead of Andray Blatche. Theres a lot of hope for next season. We will be a very different team.

Losing Blatche at for $1,375,604 isn't a getting better.

And now you have to actually pay Livingston

And PP could walk along with KG.

Deron Williams is such a boat anchor of a contact.

We will see how it goes for them. DW, JJ, BL

I actually think this is going to be a very active off season of FA. Lots of parts could move.

This is what I'm thinking but I see it being a 3team deal sending Asik to team C. Maybe the Lakers who have money and need a center

I don't think Houston is that desperate to take on D Wills contract

To think that I thought Brooklyn went after the right player instead of Melo. D-Will should look in the mirror before having the balls to request for trades. He has been stealing money from Brooklyn his whole time there.

Mavs dodged a bullet with Brooklyn signing him. A massive one, too.

The Nets are a mess. Several horrible contracts, old as hell, and barely any 1sts for the foreseeable future. Oh, and all that just for a loss to Miami in 5 in the 2nd round. Best they can do IMO is just blow it up, get some youth, and cut their losses, because they aren't gonna get any younger. Doesn't help that their best player seems to have a foot issue every other game (Lopez) and is massively injury prone.

as bad as williams has been, he's still helps them win- if the nets can't get equal value for him (they won't with his contract) and if pierce does''t return- this team likely won't even be a playoff team... even in the east, but they will still have a really high payroll with lopez, garnett, johnson

I would hate to be a nets fan right now.. good thing they don't have many

The Rockets can create enough money to sign Melo, Love, Aldridge, Rondo, just about any FA in the NBA this year or next. They can also create enough money to sign a bit lesser FAs like Lowry, Millsap, etc. should they strike out on the top guys. That's 6 players who are vastly better than DWill and all except Melo will command significantly less money than DWill.

I don't know who would trade for the guy, but Houston's definitely NOT the landing spot. He was only rumored to the Rockets last offseason because they didn't know about the extent of his injury yet.

This thread is still going on? It's already been shot down by nets officials hasn't it?

Can't wait until he goes to a good organization where he can prove he's still one of the top point guards in the league.

I remember having Deron in GM leagues back then and his value was definitely as high as Paul's and even higher at some instances. How times change.......
