Glad this is starting on the road. Indiana have been bad at home in the playoffs, and it's a real opportunity to cut out their heart early. A game 1 win could devastate the Pacers fragile confidence.

i really think if we play with a sense of urgency we can win both games in the road and close out home. Get it done but dont fool yourselfs. The pacers always hit everything against us especially PG..

Yea the thought of the HEAT actually playing with a sense of urgency in both games is like a 10.2 out of 100% chance of happening. I can see them winning 1 game and just coasting the next game in Indiana. I really think we'll win Game 1 tomorrow

I think a 2-0 lead for us is actually pretty likely, more likely than a split.

I seriously hope Miami comes out of the gates with the mindset of murdering the **** out of Indy. I don't want a 2011 Bulls game 1 where a loss had to wake the team up to dominate the opponent. I want an outright beating as much as possible, but I would be fine with a split - just need to defend homecourt if that's the case

I expected us to split the first 2 games. I expect a win in game 2. Miami heads home 1-1.

SportVU says that Heat took 18 more uncontested shots than Pacers, and 7 fewer contested ones.

People need to calm down on the overreaction.

Offense wasn't the problem.. It was our defense and that also wasn't too bad. They were just making shots and getting to the line.

This puts me at ease somewhat. 8-9 times out of 10, a more talented offensive team should win the game given those uncontested/contested numbers and given about equal amount of turnovers and not a big disparity in offensive rebounds as was the case today. IND just got to shoot a lot of FTs which **** is but a lot of that had to do with **** defensive breakdowns. Give us those uncontested/contested numbers over the entire series and I think we've got this. It's just so **** annoying that all these teams shoot so well even when gaured against us.

Wow... I had no idea.. we are not the greatest at making uncontested shots though.. I feel like we need more (or need to play more) knock down shooters next year. Too many streaky shooters contribute to inconsistent results I bet.

Chalmers and Halsem absolutely clanking the widest open jump shots today I remember.

Anyone else notice the lineup of Wade, Allen, James, Battier and Andersen and think it was a little strange?

Personally, I think we should use that line-up more.

that line up in game 1 worked better for the heat and in game 2 of course work waaay better. I didn't catch the game since I had to attend a class but I knew they would win game two. Anyone else amazed at wade's scoring so far in this series!? That rest is paying off.

That was essentially a standard lineup + response to the poor play of our point guards. Most of the season we had the opposite--Spo was looking for ways to maximize their minutes by even playing Mario & Cole together. But with them struggling, a Wade/Allen backcourt was necessary. Lebron-Battier-Andersen frontcourt is pretty normal.

Paul George's concussion will be a factor this series. A really big factor. It means more Lance.
