It says you're homophobic if you notice that being gay is different than being hetero...

If that's the definition, literally everyone is homophobic, including gay people...

I agree that it is too broad, but that's the problem with a lot of social things. Homophobia isn't recognized as a psychological disorder it's just a term that classifies people that hate/are against that lifestyle. It just so happens that it is directly against the " sanctity of marriage" of some religions hence where the problem is.
