In general, Pistons and luck don't belong in the same sentence.

So, I am not doing anything special for today.

I played the lottery machine at ESPN.com and Pistons got the #1 pick the 2nd and 5th time I played. I stopped afterward.

They were talking to a psychic on 105.1 lol. She said the top 3 picks will be Boston, Philly and Sacramento. She also said the Pistons will be picking 8th. I was cracking up but I would die if the top 3 falls like that.

Yeah, no thanks to any of them lol.

I don't own a bow tie or glasses, so I can't do anything superstitious

I fully expect Exum-Pelinka to force their way to the Lakers if they don't win and I think Boston is going to trade their pick for Kevin Love if they don't win, so I don't really care about either of them.

The only teams I don't want to win are the Cavs and everyone ranked behind us. If we end up 1,2,3 or 8 I really don't care how the rest works out.

I'm with you here. I just want to keep the pick. If we bounce into the top 3, that's some amazing gravy on top.

I'm not superstitious, so I don't have any plans in that regard. Numbers aren't swayed by good will.

I'd love for Detroit to get #1 so that New Orleans could move up into top three thus without hurting us and prevent Philly from getting a second lotto pick this year, while us and NO pushed Sixers own pick back a couple of spots. Hell have Boston or Lakers get #3 so Philly ends up with #5 and thus out of the Wiggins/Embiid/Parker/Exum pool of players and picks out of Randle, Vonleh or Smart instead.

That would be epic.

I just did the ESPN Lotto for THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME this year and we got the #2 pick! We ALL need to think positive and EXPECT a high pick, trust me it works.

Praying to my fathead sized Adam silver poster that he delivers us from the evil of a lost pick to CHA and guides us to the promised land of a top 2 pick.

I actually have to tape it since I need to pick up my daughter at the same time it starts. I could listen to it on the radio, but I'll just have the iPod playing in the car with my phone turned off and watch it when I get home.

I'll drag my kids into the living room and tell them we can go to their favorite restaurant if we get a top 3 pick. And then, I'll look at the list of teams and their odds, so I know the order to expect them.

Then, Adam Silver will announce: "The 8th pick goes to the Sacramento Kings". Craziness!!!!!! Then they will go through the rest of the names through 4, someone else may have gotten screwed (hopefully Philly), and then commercial break. Afterward, it gets crazy as we get the #2 pick. And it doesn't matter - Embiid, Wiggins, Parker, Exum? Maybe trade down? Who knows. But we will be going out to my kids favorite restaurant later :-)
