Pacers will lose this because George just can't get it together when it matters the most. He will have another good game or two the rest of this best-of-seven but he's simply not at the level of LeBron, KD and the likes.
2nd tier stars just won't get you to the title especially if you don't have much help.

It's an often overlooked fact from last year's ECF, but PG couldn't score on him then either. Are HEAT fans the only ones who noticed this? Because it was a total shock to many of us then. We went from cringing to laughing. No sense can be made of it other than PG's handle is that bad.

People say that because we don't see him making game winners and buzzer beaters.
But the haters will forget the previous 15-20 points he scores in the 4th to put his team in that position to win.

LeBron has more playoff game winners in his career than Kobe. With half the playoffs played and with a lot more efficiency. So I don't believe that's the case.
There was a myth created in 2011 in the NBA finals. Did LeBron play like crap against Dallas in the 4th? Yes. I got news for you, after the 3rd quarter in game 2 he played like crap the entire series.
good pt. he had 8 pts in one of those games. that means he scored just under 3 pts a qtr with the bad 4th qtr(assuming 1 pt or so) . Dwyane wade also scored like 0 pts in all the games with 2 minutes or less to go and missed a key freethrow in one of the games. The guy james kept passing too

Who else is at Lebron's and KD's level?

Not getting too high off this win. Pacers are a great road team so we need to handle business in Game 3 & 4 for me to get super excited. Ugly game tho but man Wade, Bron, Birdman & NoCo came through. If Miami continues to get contributions from the bench then my prediction of Heat in 6 is going to be set

Tough grind out win for MIA. Indy still in decent shape but they will have to split in MIA, which is doable for them.
What's interesting to watch is when the games get tight, Lebron reverts to pick and roll CLE style Le-ISO. Almost cost MIA a bit as the offense stagnated but Wade took over there and executed some big plays down the stretch.
Game 3 should be the best one of the series, huge swing game.

Well, to be precise, Indy has been a good road team in the playoffs, but in the regular season they were 21-20 on the road.
Their road record in the playoffs looks strong, but it was against the Wiz & Hawks, who won 22 and 24 games at home in the regular season, respectively. We'll see how they look against a team that won 32 games at home...

Good question. None. There are a few others who can make the jump and George isn't one of them.

Then why hold him to their standards? If the Pacers lose it's not going to be about George "not getting it together" which is obviously code for "being Lebron James or Kevin Durant" according to you. It's going to be about Miami being a better team than Indiana.
Guys that get drafted 10th overall can very seldom measure up to transcendent players who were #1 picks.
Think about that.. you're taking shots at a guy for not measuring up to James or Durant.. I'd argue that says a whole more about George than it doesn't even though you didn't word it that way.

Hmmm true. The Wizards have a record of not winning a home game in the Semi-Finals...That's bad. Hawks blew Game 6 imo. This series is just giving me a headache mopper that's all. I'm just being aware & preparing myself for whatever happens when this series shifts to South Beach

Pacers would have had this if West and George hadn't stunk up the joint.
9-32 for 24 combined, and it's not like they were defended super well. West especially had a ton of close wide open jumpers that he just bricked.

Le iso got them Back in the game finding prompt three point Shooters, not every series is played out the same way. In this series it looks like Lebron has to attack from top of the key or off ball more. They aren't letting him postup and and George is a damn good defender too.

Obviously lots of games still to play in this series, but the most interesting thing is that instead of the lebron vs Paul George match up the media tried to foist on everyone before the season even began, the biggest storyline here is wade vs Stephenson. I was ready to say Stephenson got the better of wade in game 2 after that insane 3rd quarter... Stephenson balled out of his mind, I'm extremely impressed with him... But I'll take Wade's 10 points in the fourth over strephenson's 10 points in the 3rd. Wade stepped up when it mattered most.
This game felt like a wrestling match, everyone looked exhausted. Lebron came out in the 4th quarter at an unusual time and stayed down after getting fouled... Stephenson gassed after playing very minute until his 3rd quarter burst... Wade having to fight through all of those screens they were setting him the entire game, clearly trying to make his knee flare up, haha. Lebron/wade really dug deep to take over that 4th quarter. Good old fashioned eastern conference basketball.

Conventional wisdom would say that Heat need the 3 days off more than the Pacers do but both teams need it equally right now. PG needs to be rest, West, Hibbert, Wade, and LeBron. All of them looked tired at one point or another. If the rest helps both teams recover and play a good game 3, I am all for it.

Pacers shot 47% from 3 tonight after 42% in game one. They better hope to keep getting offensive rebounds at the same rate because it's going to hurt when they regress to the mean from the outside.
