I'm now stuck between Young, Hairston, Harris, and Stauskas

Harris would be my clear cut pick but his size is a issue.

Young has good size, can make shots from outside, but his defense is a weakness, and I'm not sure about his ability to make his own shot.

Hairston has good size, can shoot, and can create off the dribble, but he has a checkered past and Cho may not wanna go with him.

Stauskas has good size at 6'6, and can shoot, I just question his defense and ability to create his own shot.

Right Now I have
1. Hairston
2. Young
3. Harris
4. Stauskas

what back court pair compliments each other best?

Kemba (6'0) and Harris (6'4)
Kemba (6'0) and Young (6'7)
Kemba (6'0) and Hairston (6'5)
Kemba (6'0) and Stauskas (6'6)

Hairston can probably be had with the 24th pick. Regardless of that, the team needs to do a lot of research on him. His off the court issues concern me and the last thing this team needs is a knucklehead.

No. Everybody should know that LaVine is very high on my list due to his potential. LaVine is my 2nd favorite player in this draft class behind Jabari Parker. I believe LaVine could be the next Brandon Roy as a ball dominant shooting guard, but it'll take the right situation for him to live up to his potential, and I don't trust Charlotte's developmental aspect of youth to make LaVine the player that he should be with his skill sets. Charlotte has misused each of their draft picks over the past few years, Kemba included

Hairston and Kyle Anderson are my two favorite picks outside of top ten.

#9 seems to be on the 3rd tier of players.

I thought he made a living off of being a tweener of sorts between 2/3 at the college level. At the next level I wonder if he is too slow to play SG yet too small to guard and score against most SF's

maybe i'm biased since warren played at my alma mater, but i really think he's going to be a productive scorer in the NBA. at what level is a valid question, but i don't think he's too -anything- to not at least be a useful rotation player, possibly even starter.

I doubt our front office has the balls to take Lavine at 9, unless it's to trade him. After taking MKG and Biyombo we're probably scared to draft anyone there who will take time to hit their stride. And I agree with mrk, we're not exactly the best in the league at developing players.

The scoring we need is from the 3 pt line. I don't think he's there yet. He's a mid-range scorer, of which we have lots (Kemba, Hendo, MKG, Zeller, Al, etc).

Defensively, I'm not that worried about him b/c MKG will be beside him but there is a question of whether it's starter worthy. I'd be okay with him at 24 but like Hairston I'd be surprised if there isn't someone more suitable.

Harris and Hairston seem to be the most NBA ready, and they seem to be players that could make a immediate impact for our playoff caliber team. Young and Lavine seem to have the most up side as Harris, Stauskas and Hairston seem to be finished products. Lavine imo, seems to be the least NBA ready. He's got good size, but he seemed to be weak as a college player, I have a hard time seeing him being a solid player in his first couple of years. He's just too green, and too frail. Young honestly looks like he could be a very good player for years to come. I think I'm leaning towards him as our guy.

Young does strike the best balance between potential (Lavine) and ready to play (Stauskas, Harris, Hairston), so in that regard he's a decent calculated risk.

If I were Cho and Clifford though I would plan to draft Lavine at 9 and use him to back up Kemba until he's physically ready to start at the 2. I'd use the # 24 pick to draft Hairston to address our shooting needs.

Kemba/Lavine
Hairston/Henderson
MKG/Taylor
McRoberts/Zeller
Jefferson/Biyombo

And save the cap to go after the much better 2015 class of free agents.

Edit: Our bench would easily be the most athletic in the league, we'd run everyone out of the building.
