+ 3 + 10 + Young for Love + 13?

Rubio/FA
Brewer/Martin
Wiggins or Parker (#3)/Bazz
Young/Gordon (#10)
Pek/Dieng/Turiaf

3/10/young -> love is fair.

If philly offers that, that might be the best deal we can get.

3-Wiggins/parker, 10- aaron gordon would be good return for love.

If Philly did that, it would be the best offer, but I would be surprised if that ever happened and Love said he would sign an extension there. Also, I don't think that Gordon will be available at 10, and it might be only Embiid is available of the top three at 3. I like him the best, but he is going to take time.

My new order of preference is:

1. Cleveland (1 + Waiters + filler)
2. Philadelphia (3 + 10 + Young + filler)
3. Golden State (Thompson + Barnes + Lee)
4. Boston (6 + Sullinger + Future pick + Filler)
5. Chicago (Mirotic + Taj + Butler + Pick)

1. 2. 4. 5. 3. (My order)
Of course PHI trade is out of question because he won't re-sign.

2, 4 (if it multiple future picks), 1, 3, 5.

Boston might also have potential (with additional filler) for MN to including K. Martin and C. Brewer for say next to all of the future BKY owed picks. Depends, what timetable they are on to improve.

If nothing intrested shows up.

How about keep Love, try to improve the team, and if in the trade deadline we are in the playoffs position and he still want to get out, we trade him.

If we donig well next season, he might resign with us.
The key for my is a good coach.

Look at LM Aldrige example.

It seems pretty clear at this point the Love wants out so no reason to keep him if he's going to be a malcontent or a distraction.

Not to mention if the Wolves wait until the deadline next year, they lose an enormous amount of leverage as teams will know their backs are against the wall.

If I was a Wolves fan, I would be extremely disappointed if Love was not traded by draft night. I still really doubt a team will include a top-3 pick, but Flip should still have numerous options to choose from.

As painful as it would be, you pretty much have to blow it up and rebuild if you can't keep Love. The worst place to be in the NBA is just out of the playoffs and a permanent fixture in the back end of the lottery. Getting mediocre to above average starters in return just prolongs it. A Golden State or Chicago type deal is the worst case scenario, because David Lee and Klay Thompson are just good enough to keep them in the 35-40 win range.

If you can get Cleveland to give up the #1, great. If not, Boston's pick and future unprotected Brooklyn picks + warm bodies is probably going to be the best package.

If that's the case, they should also probably trade Pekovic to someone like Atlanta.

Love's silence throughout all this is pretty damn damning if you ask me. The guys wants out and frankly it's hard to blame him.

On one hand I would love to keep Pekovic around as a vet presence. On the other hand I would love to send Pekovic somewhere like OKC or NOP just to ensure Love never wins a championship.

Just curious, wouldn't you rather have Thompson? And wouldn't Cleveland rather move him so they aren't minute logged at the 4 with him Love and Bennet?

Not sure what NOP could offer for Pek, but Pek to OKC for Adams and Perkins (expiring) would be pretty interesting for both teams. OKC gets a good, win-now C, and we ditch a bunch of salary and get another young stud C to play behind Dieng.

Yep, Love's silence and the fact that Flip is suddenly open to trade talks and scouting the top picks at the Combine last week says all I need to know.

I also don't blame Love but, like Garnett, I think once a player decides to leave the family, he's considered the enemy.

Waiters has 2 more years on his rookie (cheap) contract, Thompson has 1
If i was MIN after acquiring Waiters and Wiggins i would go for Martin + Budinger -> Monroe (S&T)

I like Monroe, but not at the deal he will likely get. Thompson would fill PF at a cheap price, with a RFA coming up. Wiggins at SG/SF, and we still have our 13.
